Title: We will not bow down
Post by: kroz on July 25, 2015, 10:15:29 AM
The L.A. mega church pastored by Dr. John MacArthur received an official letter from the government last week to cease and desist on the issue of homosexuality.

This past Sunday Dr. MacArthur gave his response to his church flock.

The video and full transcript is available on their website...... gty.org

https://youtu.be/ATv9q2BkRus

Believe me..... this is a shot that will be heard across our land.

I suspect it will not be long before the IRS and DoJ pays him a visit. He's a fantastic preacher, and I rather doubt that he'll be stopped by the left.

Yeah, I really liked the way he started his message.....  much is being said in America about terrorism and terrorists and rightly so......... BUT the two biggest terrorist attacks upon our Nation came from the Supreme Court.

He then goes on to talk about the hundreds of thousands of lives being murdered by abortion and the dismantling of the family with gay marriage.  It was a very persuasive argument!

But the real target is not marriage and family...... it is God.

He also tells of receiving a letter this week from a very powerful Judge who will be loosing his power and influence because he will be removed from the bench for refusing to conduct gay marriages.

The enemy has everything cued up and ready to go...... All christians in positions of power and influence across this nation will lose their positions.  Lawsuits are going to begin pouring into the court system.

We need to contemplate today what lies ahead and determine our course.  Will we bow down?

Will we follow the pattern of Daniel, Mordecai, and countless biblical saints who refused to bow down?

(Choose you today whom you will serve!  We must unite in the name of the Lord.) My words, not Dr. MacArthur's.

Thank you for posting, Kroz. Especially helpful is the transcript available on the church site. That sermon is as complete a summary of the present as one could ask for.

The tactics of the left have not changed. Aggravate, annoy, pressure, persecute, humiliate Americans into abandoning their positions and property, so  that the left can move in, occupy, and take over. Notice they have done nothing to build up the wealth, in fact the left is a net drain and an erosion of the economy.  Yet they stand eager to enjoy the spoils of this victory.
Corrupt judges and scheming lawyers are atop the pile of reasons why the family unit has been so battered. Pastor MacArthur reminds us the family is a sovereign unit, very much the target.

Yes, I was so moved by Dr. MacArthur's message that I was compelled to post it here and share it with my mailing list.  There are so few godly leaders today who are willing to set an example for every follower of Christ.

Look for Obama to try and stack the lower courts with liberals during the coming months.  This is the new battle field in our country.

We should remember Indianapolis Baptist Temple.
In 2000, the IRS attacked the church over the grade school it operated.
The church had decided that it would not be a tax collector,
and so they paid the teachers as independent contractors, not employees.
Every one of the teachers paid their taxes as an independent contractor.
"Nonpayment of taxes" was NOT an issue!
The ONLY issue was, would the church be an agent of the state?

The Clinton Administration started this action.
Some thought that the "Christian" George W. Bush
and the "Christian" Attorney General John Ashcroft
would cease this aggression.
They did not.
In 2001, the IRS seized all the assets of the church
(money, land, buildings, furnishings, everything)
to partly pay the arbitrary fines they had fabricated
and forced it out of business.

I don't even remember that incident, je.

But I look for things like this to get worse.  Obama is very vindictive.

I had a hard time finding the link to the transcript of John MacArthur's message.
So, to make it easier for everyone else, here it is:

Thanks, je..

You may have noticed that he varied a bit from the written transcript but it is virtually accurate.

It was terrific... IMHO.

Yes, thanks, je. I sent the link to the pastor of my church. That is the "We will not bow down" sermon, hereafter.

What disturbs me is the government sent a letter to him, so much for separation of church and state.

Here is a new call to not bow down from Chuck Baldwin..... a Montana pastor, author, and radio speaker.

http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin865.htm

In summation.... we must unhitch our churches from the government..... stop marrying ALL couples with a "license".  The government took over the marriage rite from the church and turned it into an industry requiring a legal license and tribute to Caesar.  The church must untether itself from this ungodly relationship.  That includes the tax exemption for contributions to the church..... which never was a good idea!

Here is the oldest record of the church being tax exempt:

http://biblehub.com/ezra/7-24.htm

Context - Artaxerxes' Letter to Ezra

...23  "Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done with zeal for the house of the God of heaven, so that there will not be wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons.

24  "We also inform you that it is not allowed to impose tax, tribute or toll on any of the priests, Levites, singers, doorkeepers, Nethinim or servants of this house of God.

25  "You, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God which is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges that they may judge all the people who are in the province beyond the River, even all those who know the laws of your God; and you may teach anyone who is ignorant of them....

This was decreed by a foreign king who feared God.  He declared the Lord's work to be tax exempt.
He also decreed that civil authority should be given to those who "know the laws of your God"
- unlike today, where "gay marriage" is being used to force people OUT of civil authority,
and even out of their own privately owned businesses!

I should have given more context.

My previous post reports events that occurred roughly 450 B.C.

God had allowed Babylon to carry Israel into captivity,
to punish Israel for their sinful ways (which are nearly identical to America's current ways.)

Seventy years later, a coup handed the kingdom of Babylon to Persia (Iran).

The king of Persia then allowed Israel to return to their homeland.

The quotation in my previous post is part of a letter from the king of Persia
to Ezra, who was the leader of those Israelis back to their homeland.

With the coming of the Messiah, the Lord made of His house a royal priesthood.
We are not bystanders or observers. This is our fight.

Tell me a king today who fears God?

I know of none.  There in lies our unholy alliance with the government.  We are unequally yoked.

A king who fears God does not tax the church.
A king who does not fear God taxes the church, or puts conditions on the tax exemption.

Starting with Senator Lyndon Johnson in the 1950s:
"You WILL NOT criticize government policy, no matter how sinful it is!"

Then Barry the Occupier:
"You WILL pay for employees' abortions!  You WILL participate in homosexual weddings!"

As I said in a previous post:
http://conservativepoliticalforum.com/political-discussion-and-debate/how-churches-led-america-to-forsake-god!/
Christians could EASILY throw out these antichrist rulers in ONE ELECTION,
if they would just take even a MINIMAL level of action!

But 30 million evangelicals never vote!
48% of Catholic voters voted to RE-elect The Illegitimate One!

Many millions of "Christians" keep bowing constantly!
Many millions of "Christians" are KEEPING THIS ANTICHRIST IN POWER!

We "unequally yoked" Christians need to grab our end of the yoke,
give it a good jerk, and BREAK THE ANTICHRIST'S NECK!

Hmm...
So 48% of Catholic voters told how they voted?

I am always amazed how they come up with how people vote on a secret ballot.  Not only that but it's amazing how they know they are Catholic.

I always find it's the nonvoters that always helps elect the politicians, even if there is a third party.

This kind of data is obtained through exit polls.
Pollsters stand outside the voting places and query people about how they voted.
They also collect demographic data from each voter
so they can break out the results by race, gender, age, income, religion, etc.

Wow!!  that a lot of Pollsters.  But then I always told them to kiss off, as a lot of people that I know did.  In Washington state you do not have to go to the poll to vote.  Most vote by mail, that why I question the number of Pollsters.  It's like all polls they get what there looking for.

Please start using the quote function, as we can click on the name and go right to the full post if need be.  This also helps with the flow.

And the polled NEVER lie.

The thing is, how many here would even answer an exit poll?  How many true conservatives would give information of how they voted, let alone their religious affiliation, and other personal information to some liberal media twit with a clipboard?

OTOH, liberals lie by habit. Their entire agenda is founded on lies. And how better to make their lord and savior Obama seem more acceptable than to claim members of a church which is world wide renown for its stance against abortion and homosexual marriage?

And let's not even go into the idea that the media with all their polls are not what one would label as honest.

That said, there are a significant number of Catholic democrats who have bought into the, "Vote liberal and help your neighbor like God wants," mantra.  But I highly doubt it is anywhere near 48%. And I will hypothesize that the number who voted once was higher than the number that voted for O twice, with further supposition that the number which still support O is smaller yet.
