Thankful

We did a thing at Bible study last night that was awesome, inspiring and insightful. We went around the table and shared that 2020 wasn't the "bad year" that they would have us to believe. There is MUCH to be thankful for. There is MUCH to praise God for. There is MUCH that made this a GREAT year!

First off, I am very grateful for the Lord and for His undeserved salvation. I look forward to heaven and being with the Lord forever. I am very grateful for my church, my Pastor, my Pastor's wife, my kids, my Grandkids, my home and so many other things. The Wuhan virus has forced my wife to work from home which has been a good thing as we eat lunch together almost every day now.

I am grateful for the word of God and the fact that we can study it without persecution, arrest, imprisonment nor prosecution. We open in prayer and close in prayer and it is wonderful. There is great fellowship and friendship in our Bible study group and when I don't see someone occasionally, it makes me sad as I miss them.

The MSM is full of doom and gloom about the year and quite frankly, it has NOT been "doom and gloom" around my home at all. We probably have gotten to see our kids and Grandkids more than we normally would have.

We even hired a handy person to take care of a couple of issues that I was not comfortable taking care of and it didn't cost us much at all. As a matter of fact, the handy person wasn't at our home very long and had things taken care of and things were ship shape in no time at all.

My challenge to everyone who reads this is to look at your life and count up all of the good things that you enjoy and may take for granted. I will be celebrating the birth of Christ with my family this year like all other years and will be grateful and thankful regardless of what the MSM nor CDC wants me to be glum about!

Thank you for a wonderful message. Gratitude is great gilt from God. I love the word "gratitude". I learned quite a few years ago from a wise person. It was suggested to use "grateful" for the word "proud". Try it and it will surprise how relevant it is.
