No hate. I have to take a stand. Same with you on other things. I 100% support you not buying after the company gives support to them. Same with me. I am not buying it anymore. Had enough of the betrayel.

God's not living up to your standards?

SOS - you are not mad at God you are mad at "people".  There should be a difference.  Toy

You are correct. I am mad at people. I still think that burning a church is wrong, because arson is arson. I don't want anybody hurt or killed except for the hateful people like Al Sharpton.

I didn't create this thread as a "notice me" type deal. I said it because it needed to be said. It was overdue. I don't think it is so much losing faith, but keep noticing signs of the devil.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

All the more reason to strengthen your relationship with God.  Toy

Strengthen our relationship with God.  That is more important than ever now, don't you think.    As Christians we have an idea but many Christians have no clue what that is so imagine how hard it is for a baby Christian or someone trying to find out how to do these things.

Do you have any advice?

don't know if this is what you are going thru, but the church I grew up in has changed. I'm not saying the church has left me, nor am I saying I have left the church. But too often I can not sit and accept how far left the church has gone. I don't want to name the religion I was brought up in as I know people receive great comfort in it, my kids for one. My religion/ church has grown quite small, just me ,my bible , and God.

Bible studies (alone or in groups), prayers, taking time to get away from the noise of the world and listen to that small inner voice...  But then you already know all of that..  Toy

I spent too many years having to defend Christianity from lefties. All that bad-mouthing, and they turn around and prop up Islam in the same breath.

I see too many Churches with rainbow flags, BLM signs, and other crap. Now they are helping the agitators, rioters, and criminals. The same type of people who burned down a church recently.

I am not associated with the average leftist atheist. I am starting a new version of atheism. You are welcome to join. I am not sure what to call it, but here is my stance on it:

1. Islam is enemy number one - they are international terrorists, period.
2. Christianity (among other Western religions) - you are now an accessory by aiding and abetting criminal and sinful activities and people, period.
3. This is reserved for any other valid religion.
4. This is reserved for any invalid (made up) religion.

Don't try to change my mind, or lecture me. My mind is made up. I am done. I am now an atheist.

I find myself in the same boat as you, you are not alone. Granted I was never a devout Christian, I was for about three years or so very devoted to the Christin faith, as I was raised in a christian household under very christian beliefs. For about three years (18 - 21) I relied heavily on the church to help guide me through my life, and I got a lot out of it. Especially given most people I know and are my age are not religious and would often poke fun at me. I usually discredited them, and it was not them that drew me away from the church. It was in fact that the church became advantage of the liberal ideology. The specific demonization I frequented, began spouting leftist talking points in their sermons and began to, more so then suggest, but to even push or threaten that if you did not align yourself with these liberal ideologies, that you were indeed not a Christan. It turned me away, and I have been reluctant to go back these ever sense. So I understand completely where you are coming from, and I, nor do I think anyone, should look down on your for having this change of thought. In my eyes, faith is fluid. Sometimes it comes and sometimes it goes.

When you find yourself in an apostate church you need to move along.

Look for an independent Baptist church.   Go a few times, read their mission statement so to speak hopefully they have one and then listen to some sermons.  You'll know soon enough what their focus is.

Not many of those where I am. Mainly Episcopal and Catholics, especially since I'm in a city. Haven't seen any Baptist churches in my area. But I will keep a look out for them.

You failed to note, he turned on God because of the church.

I too used to frequent a Christian church back in the 70s, but I found it hard to swallow the message of forgiveness every Sunday, as the same repeat offenders would come back to be absolved.
I remember the words stated during the last service I attended. He said we are imperfect, do your best to follow Gods word, but if you error in the eyes of God, come back next Sunday and we will forgive you.

I was done with the church, I didn't need a bunch of hypocrites absolving me of anything, only God can forgive my soul. So since that day, I only talk to God.
And yes, I learned long ago, God never gives you what you ask for, he gives you what you need. And man, he has always came through without fail!

Maybe I need to find a new Denomination. I did just receive a recommendation for a Baptists church. Ideally I would like to go back, and my issues with God aside I did find a very relaxing and content emotion during the better times I was there. I will keep plugging away.

I'm just confused.  I understand not liking a church, but how does that equate to becoming Atheism?  Either there is a God or not.  Either Jesus Christ is his risen son or not.  It doesn't matter if a church flies a gay flag and says Obama is Jesus reincarnated.  That's only that church.  I suppose freedom of religion allows that, even if God doesn't.  He'll deal with it in his own way.  If you don't like a church, join a different one.  I mean just because there are some churches say some stupid crap doesn't God doesn't exist.   Or at the very least you haven't explained how there is no God, or how you came to this conclusion.
