People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Jonathan Cahn places Donald Trump in the prophecies of God. I'm starting to listen to this guy called Jonathan Cahn and he has my attention.

As I'm listening to Mr.Cahn speak about Donald Trump's election the more I see the prophecies of God.

Beware of these guys, read & understand the Bible in *context*, rather than these dramatic leaps of spectacular events drawn from a tiny piece of Scripture.  It's so easy to transfer our faith, from what's clearly written, what we can search, pray for the Spirit to help us understand - we get *lazy* and set aside the right thing for the *easy* thing...  One thing is absolutely for sure, just ONE failed prediction = false prophet.  (even if it does sell books & videos)

Apparently, there's quite a few others, who could be SUED for libel, and are not - feel the same way.
I typed in:  "Johnathan Cahn false prophet" and got a page of sites, some I trust, many I don't.
Just beware - good stuff might be mixed with bad, it's up to you to sort it out, or just move on.

IMO - it's better to understand the whole, and this guy focuses on the areas where prophecy is pointing.

I just started listening to Johnathan Cahn. I watched maybe 4 videos of his and not once did he ask for any money or buy anything from him...I did noticed at the end of the videos he begs for people to open their Bibles and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

One the flip side thanks for giving the heads up and I will pay close attention...I read your link you put forth about Cahn being a false prophet in all...something tells me they know each other and there might be a little strife between them....with that being said thanks once again for the heads up and no kool-aid drinking for me. I listen to him with my Bible wide open.

Thanks again........

Yeah - I'm not the expert, the authority on anything... but, I do know the Expert, the Authority on everything, Jesus Christ.  The Word of God is there for everyone, everything, past and future - for us to study ourselves.
I think you get that.  It's so *easy* to get lazy & forget to check up these guys, "Where does it say that in the Bible, and what's the context in the Bible?"

We hear just one verse, and from that, flows all kinds of stuff... we never heard, nor imagined before.  Open the Bible, and 'yeah, it's there, just as he/she said it.'  - but the writer, John or Paul in that chapter was talking about something quite a bit different... hmmm.  Dig a little deeper, be a wise student of the Word, ask yourself the basic Journalist Questions:

a. Who (who is addressing who?  Jesus addressing Pharisees or Disciples?)
b. Where (location matters MUCH in scripture, Jesus speaking on divorce in Herods district or somewhere else?)
c. When (The season?  The Feast?  What proceeded the event - John was imprisoned for speaking against Herod's taking another man's wife, the Pharisees tried to trap Jesus with the divorce question, while in Herod's district.  Jesus healing on the Sabbath is a great example.)
d. What (Religious leadership was insanely jealous of Jesus, thought He would take away their reign & position they held over the people, they would do anything to 'set-Him-up' to get rid of him, even bribery of Judas)
e. Why (Pharisees were corrupt and used "traditions" to maintain their vice-grip like control over the people.  Any threat to their 'system' had to be dealt with.  Jesus' numerous Sabbath healings were considered "work" by the Pharisees - He was breaking tradition & breaking the Pharisee's 'hold' over the people.)

The real Goal is to bring us closer to the Lord, which means the actual Scripture.  If a sermon has you digging through the Bible - IMO, that's a good sign.  If a sermon has you stuck in a chapter, as the speaker goes line by line, sometimes flipping back to refer to another verse for support, that's even better!  the chapter has a "context" which really helps give definition to it all.

But, I'm especially wary of the guy, who takes ONE verse, or part of a verse, and blows it into something magnificent (Gee... I never saw that before!!), distorting the text into something nobody else could... well, walk away.   Topical Sermons have a tendency to go that way.  Expository Sermons tend to go verse-by-verse and open up the Bible.

I love good preaching.  Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to find!
