I was thinking about these migrants Texas and Florida are sending to sanctuary cities. Imagine for a moment it is you, a person fleeing poverty and crime wanting a new life. What do you do, what do you think. My grandparents came from Germany and Ireland during the times when immigrants were welcome. We've lost that openness and today the topic has created in politics a leaning towards authoritarianism. You see it often in our politics and the decisiveness today.

If they are fleeing from another country why does it matter where they end up in our Country.  Where does it say they only need to stay where they stepped over the border?  If this government wants them here then they need to spread them throughout the Country evenly and Sanctuary cities should be the first drop off.
