What did people see in that woman?

I would sooner listen to a bunch of screech owl myself.

Media hype.
I never cared for her music.

Her "National Anthem" performance....

...The ONLY thing worth remembering about her, except her drug use and association with the totally worthless Bobby Brown.

I always liked her... She was a good singer, very pretty, and I admit I teared up at the end of "The Bodyguard".

It sucks she got caught up with Bobby Brown.  She didn't live too far from me some years ago, and I saw her out, and she was really, really skinny.  It was pretty sad.

Yeah, but c'mon, Taxed. The way a lot of people carry on when one of these 'celebrities' dies is completely moronic. You'd think a head of state had died or it was the end of the world.

Yep, she was nothing more than a market project that made a lot of money, for her and other people.
Life happens and we die.
The tragic part in all of this, is the message being missed, do drugs and it will kill you.

Someone said to me- "She died doing what she loved!!"

My reply- "You mean doing booze and pills??"

What did people see in that woman?

I would sooner listen to a bunch of screech owl myself.

In her day, her voice was incomparable. Her vocal range extended from G below middle C (G3) to high B-flat (B♭5). On her best days she could hit treble F (F5).That's a two-octave mastered range, and that is a world-class singer.

I was NEVER a fan of Whitney Houston, not because of any lack of talent, but because I didn't care for the material she used, and I despised her lifestyle. Like any other conscious American, I appreciated her rendition of the national anthem at Super Bowl XXV in Tampa in 1991, but I never became a follower.

May she rest in peace. God knows she had little of it on this side.
