Excellent Movie!!!
Here I was expecting a bit of a hokey flick, but this show really surprised me.
You actually have a real western with a serious twist.

I won't spoil it for you, just watch it, you won't regret it.
Oh and get it in bluray, We didn't and I wish we had.

It is a pretty good movie. Saw it on Pay Per View and it was worth every penny. Kinda an Gunfight at O K Corral on steroids, but I only watch movies for entertainment anyway.
There's no ticks like Polyticks-bloodsuckers all Davy Crockett 1786-1836

Yankees are like castor oil. Even a small dose is bad.

Good description, it was the OK corral kicked up by a factor of ten.
I was impressed with the cast as well, all fit the character they were given.
I hope they do a sequel and I don't say that very often.

Most sequels are never as good as the original. Some are like the original Star Wars trilogy, but most never live up to the hype.

It would be something if Harrison Ford became this generations Ben Johnson.

I kind of doubt Ford making it to that standard, big difference, Ford is a big lib, Johnson was like John Wayne, he actually believed in the Country.
Have we really slid that far?
Never mind, I know the answer...

I was thinking he would be more of a character actor this late in his career.

I can see that, he did a really good job in Cowboys and Aliens, though I noticed he didn't get top billing in this one, that went to Daniel Craig who did an excellent job.

The chick in that movie also does the TV series House. I hear she is a uber lefty from a very liberal political family.

The movie was well made. Definitely a good popcorn flick.
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

She did a good job, but had I known she was in it, I probably would have passed it by.

There is a certain point where actors become toxic regarding their political views. I absolutely refuse to ever see the Margaret Thatcher movie because I looked at Meryl Streep and knew the hardcore leftwing perspective would overshadow the story.

When actors like Streep, Sarandon, Tim Robbins or Matt Damon are in a movie that is even remotely political, then it loses it's entertainment value because you know the point of view of the story teller before you ever go to the movies. It's like reading a book where you already know the ending. Who wants to do that?

Nobody in this generation of older actors will be a new Ben Johnson, but Harrison Ford stands a chance at being his own cinematic archetype. He was excellent in Cowboys and Aliens, a far harder and meaner man we still wind up calling heroic at the end. These days, making viewers accept that quick a character-change is a feat unto itself.

Craig is cashing in hard on the lag between Bond films, but has also had a long run of lesser films. I strongly recommend Archangel (based on the Robert Harris thriller). Gotta admit, he does a terrific wake-up-scared routine.....

Archangel was an early Craig film, before Casino Royale. Although it is typically low-budget British fare, it convincingly tells of a plot to introduce the biological son of Josef Stalin into then-contemporary Russian politics. Craig's character is a college professor trying to track whether the man exists at all. Casting in this is splendid.
