I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. 'Do you need some help?' I asked.
She replied, 'I knew I should have replaced the battery to this remote door unlocker. Now I can't get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery to fit this?'
'Hmmm, I don't know. Do you have an alarm, too?' I asked.
'No, just this remote thingy,' she answered, handing it and the car keys to me. As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, 'Why don't you drive over there and check about the batteries. It's a long walk.

I once lock my keys in the truck in town just after getting it. I had a friend, off duty office unlock it. I now also lock the truck using the remote from outside the truck not the switch inside the truck.

For some reason mine locks it's own doors for no reason, so I've made it a habit to always take the key with me.
When it's warming up, I make sure I have the other key before closing the door, because I've had the damn thing lock me out before while running.
That is the only issue I've had with it since I bought it 6 years ago.

My book said you can not lock the doors when the motor is off and the key is in the ignition. Not so it will lock.
Did you check in the book and see if that away to shut that off?
I know for a long time if I forget to shut off my light with the ignition key out I have to turn the key back on just to turn them off on my truck. But I found out by accident that if it turn them on and off two times I don't have to do that.

I asked the dealer and they said it needs to be reset by the computer.
Nah, I said it's a good lesson for me to keep my keys with me.

In the 13 years I had mine, I had to replace. (other than normal maintenance thing oil, tires and transmission fluid)
2 Head light
2 Tail lights
1 Turn light
1 Driving light, from a rock.
2 windshields, also from rocks.
1 Fan belt this years. But I told them replace them all.

Remember when I bought mine and posted it at LNF? Also remember that pissy little moron that claimed these trucks were a piece of shit, that he knew all there was to know because he drove one for a company he worked for, claimed it was always breaking down.
Can't remember his name, he was a captain in the army at one time, so he claimed anyway.
Boy does he look like the fool now.

I think the only active Mod now is on the Christian Forum MFA.
Then there is Jas in Sports Forum and Entertainment Board.

Will I am wrong about MFA as a Mod now. He has not posted for a long time now.
He stopped posting there when a lot of his information got out.

All I remember was someone was stalking him thru LNF site and actually trying to damage his professional reputation. That was back in June sometime. Boo would know more about it I think.

He came here last year and sent me a PM asking for help about it, but I had nothing to offer him.
I hope it all got straightened out, I think it was at Huffington pest....

I have absolutely no clue who or what this site is about - which is fine.
Some things haven't changed a bit from the 1980's, people don't like what you say, and instead of reasoned answers, try to ruin you personally, threaten your family or attempt to ruin your property. They're all for "free speech", so long as it's "their free speech".
And, they can't ever go away quietly, nope, still trying to stay in contention for the "fool-of-the-year-award".

The site is a perfect example of no leadership, a site run by squishies playing PC when enforcing what little rules it had.
The owner helped a lib member by giving personal information on another member whom then stalked and harassed the guys wife at home, and it was that incident that led me to start this forum.

Been there too. ... guy wanted me to help me make "blood atonement", my only hope of "redemption".
One of my grievous sins was quoting "It is perfectly alright to LIE to gain a convert....", said by an attractive blonde ... daughter of, one of the church leaders in Utah... or maybe it was publishing the Temple Ceremony... or quoting an older version of their book, where it says the "blacks" would become "white". After I noticed a car parked outside our duplex with some little weazel in it, I started cleaning my guns on the front porch...
In political uncertainty times like THIS, there is a huge spike in "Religious" websites. Everyone wants to get the "inside story" of "end times" - but nobody wants to read the Bible...
which I actually find quite amusing. It doesn't take much study to sound like a Bible Scholar these days.
