I don't know. I sort of like Bland Dither when he was just reading the news - or figure out the frequency. It's when he started to suffer from the delusion that he actually had a brain, that he became an irritant.

I've seen footage of him during the Nixon resignation announcement which showed him exactly two country miles past objectivity with a huge victorious grin all over his face. I can forgive Cronkite wiping his eyes over Kennedy, but cannot excuse Rather for delight in a disgraced president, or a nation in an entirely new legal realm as our Constitution was truly put to a test of succession.

I think Mathews would be a lot happier, if he just came out of the closet.
