Is The DNC Setting Up Obama For A Fall?

They are doing so many things that seem counterintuitive, I have to wonder.

1) Choosing Charlotte for the convention.
Governor Beverly Perdue is so vastly unpopular, that she has declined to run for a second term.
Charlotte is home to Bank of America, a sworn enemy of OWS, and a place where many protests took place.
The convention is expected to bring thousands of protesters......................from the radical left.

2) Making gay marriage, the platform.
North Carolina just voted down gay marriage, by popular vote. This makes no sense.

3) Choosing Bill Clinton as the keynote speaker.
Bill Clinton has openly criticized Obama, and spoke highly of Romney's record with Bain.

I'm no political genius, but all of this looks like a recipe for disaster to me.

Obama's fall allows the DNC to blame the it on him personally, not on the Democratic party, and not on Liberalism. I would be surprised if some of the planks in the Dimocraptic platform remain in the next election.

Exactly. Obama has told the democrat incumbents, that they are on their own. Many are skipping the convention altogether.

From outside appearances, it looks like there is, at least a possibility, that the DNC has become so concerned about remaining viable as a party, that they are willing to throw Obama to the curb.

The rise and fall of Obama is comparable to the rise and fall of Myspace. He achieved a great deal of popularity based mostly on hype, and in four years that popularity has collapsed, and so he's grasping at straws to try and stay relevant.

I think a lot of this planning was done back when they thought Hussein could do no wrong.
Now with an inevitable loss in the making, they pull out the only Dim alive that had any successes to point to, Clinton.

Fact is, the party is on it's last legs and they know it, they're doing all they can to put a band-aid on self inflicted stab wound to the carotid artery, and can't figure why the blood keeps pouring out.

You know how the front two rows at a water show are marked "splash zone"? There should be a similar warning for female DNC delegates sitting in the first two rows when Clinton speaks.

I'd say they should wear hip waders because the shit is gonna get thick, but wetsuits might be a better move.

I honestly don't think the DNC is setting Dear Leader up for a fall. I think they counted on an easy, no-sweat re-election, and made some decisions based on that belief that now look a little weird.

Equally weird is their selection of Debbie Downer as DNC chairperson. What a sack of shit! I have read recently that she will "not be invited" to continue her chairpersonship after the November election, but I have to wonder how that bizarre piece of work ever got elected to anything at all.

The Democrat party is in decline and desperate, and these decisions clearly reflect that fact.

Because they truly believed the next elections were going to be a cake walk. They thought Obama's election was a signal that the electorate had finally seen the light, and gone all in on liberalism. The DNC post was supposed to be mainly honorary, not a real working job. They got to believing their own press. And then they found out that the public hadn't voted for Obama, so much as against Bush. And they needed a leader, and she wasn't it.
