As Democrats are locked out of power in Washington, the party's new chairman, Ken Martin, has confronted internal battles in the early months of his tenure.

Just months into the tenure of a new party leader, Ken Martin, the Democratic National Committee's financial situation has grown so bleak that top officials have discussed whether they might need to borrow money this year to keep paying the bills.

Fund-raising from major donors — some of whom Mr. Martin has still not spoken with — has slowed sharply. At the same time, he has expanded the party's financial commitments to every state, and even to far-flung territories like Guam.

Fellow Democrats are grumbling that Mr. Martin, who quietly accepted a raise after taking the post, has been badly distracted by internal battles. So far, they say, he has been unable to help unite his party against Republicans, who control the federal government.

A protracted and public fight with David Hogg, the 25-year-old activist turned D.N.C. vice chair who blindsided party officials with a plan to challenge incumbent Democrats, made things worse. The clash included the leak of embarrassing audio of Mr. Martin questioning his own role and ended in Mr. Hogg's unceremonious exit this month.

That was soon followed by the news that two of the country's most influential labor leaders, who represent a combined 3.2 million workers, were also leaving the D.N.C. Both questioned the party's direction under Mr. Martin.

Rufus Gifford, who served as the finance chairman of Kamala Harris's 2024 campaign and maintains relationships with many top donors, suggested Democrats were being sent the wrong message at a time when they are desperately looking for "fight and leadership."

You know it's bad when the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, and the rest of the top clowns are not stepping in to right the ship. Even they can see there will be no credit to take here for a long long time. Well, hell, guess they are satisfied with making their millions off scamming the American tax payer. Now if they can just stay out of prison.  :cursing:  :cursing:

Good point! They got their cut. They knew the risks going in, but they were so certain they could pull off the coup a second time, they thought they were invincible.
They had all the communist nations supporting and helping hide their corruption, they thought it would be an easy skate home.

Remember how I use to ask, "Why Now, Why Make The Big Rush To Push Their Agenda?" I said all they had to do was wait 20 years and we'd be full blown socialist.

Well, I finally got my answer, GREED! They couldn't wait, they had to have it now! Now they fucked up everything for themselves.

I guess? I don't know. That's a world I could never live in comfortably, could you?
I'm not broke, been there, done that. But I acquired a different kind of wealth, Piece of mind by never living beyond my means, and I suppose you've done the same.
Pursuing money has never been attractive to me and I really can't grasp the mind of those who can never get enough.

I can see why the most corrupt and evil in society is attracted to politics, it's easy pickins.

Exactly what I was referring to. I still believe the vast majority of people are honest. For those who aren't, politics welcomes those who don't want to put in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.

I have no doubt politicians can, with very little effort, convince themselves they deserve more than what they are getting, even after the stealing starts. Just snowballs. No wonder politicians stay in politics as long as they do, there is a far less chance of getting caught if they are in control. As long as they are in control, they can control where the investigations will go.

No wonder the dems/rinos are in such a panic, we have seen several plead guilty to fraud, and Trump has not hit the six months yet.

And yeah, I have never been of the mind set to steal. For one, I was taught better, two, it goes against my faith. Besides, money is too easy to make. What ever you want is right in front of you. Just go for it. This is part of the sermon i used to preach to the kids/young adults who worked under me. If you want a job that pays fifty, seventy, or a hundred an hour, those jobs are out there. You might need better education, better job skills, but what you want is there. But no one is going to give it to you.

Bingo!!!

This is why congress needs to be put on a strict Diet of Budget Cuts, To Their Salaries!
The original Congress was all about doing what's right for the Nation, not what they can personally gain as individuals.
I went to bed thinking about this, and I awoke with an idea of eliminating "Committees" as we know them today.
I saw Harriet Hageman leading the cause.
What will happen is, congress will not be in charge of Committee Selection, they will submit for one to be formed, and like the Grand Jury, a pool of candidates will be set aside to be drawn from (People like You And I), with two trained foreman to over see each committees findings.

In the past, a committee was designed to discover whatever they were told to find, with little oversight, this allowed for bribes, allowing criminals to escape, and this was both parties!
Anyway, it looked good in my dream.

The end result of having lobbyist was the same. You can not discuss anything with a crooked politician without greasing their hand first.
