She was very smart and knew history. Russians don't learn much about things like Normandy or the pacific War. Naval warfare can be decided very fast.  The Russian vs German land battles were slug fests that lasted a long time.

Honestly, I learned nothing about the Russians and German battles, other than the death tolls on both sides. Our history was pretty much US centric in the 60s, most of our history centered around US battles.

Yep, there was a tiny window in time when it was a quarter.
I had one dime mom gave me for after school, call home, ring 3 times and hang up.
She'd come and get me within 25 minutes.
