QuoteWill "the Big One" soon hit the west coast?  While most people are fixated on the political drama that is currently unfolding in Washington, very important events are happening elsewhere too.  Within the past 7 days, California and Nevada have been hit by more than 900 earthquakes.  And just within the past 24 hours, there have been four notable earthquakes in southern California.  We are being told that these quakes are "raising fears of a serious seismic incident on the San Andreas fault"...

For some, it's a daily occurrence, take Petrolia, CA on the north shore, they were hit with a 7+ a couple of months ago or so, they haven't had anything less than a 3 everyday, sometimes multiple times per day or a series of 2.5's.
Can you just imagine? Sleep? WTF is that?

I'm in the camp who believes the more quakes, the better. More little quakes tend to continuously release major stress on the San Andreas main fault, but when the pressure starts building and none of it is being released in 3 and 5 magnitude quakes, something will have to give.

This is why I back fracking, it continually releases surface pressure that has built over decades and even centuries.

California stupidly outlawed fracking!

It's not what they know, but what they don't know that bugs them the most.
This fault is relatively shallow because they measure the super hot section as the low edge of the fault, but the truth is, they have no idea because they can't see beyond.
Some think the absence of quakes is an issue because the fault is stuck, others believe the increase means pressure is building.
I'm in the first camp, only because I've lived here all my life, and know every prediction has been wrong based on increased movement, when it's the quiet that seems to surprise everyone.
In today's studies, even this article gets called outdated, while other hypotheses from the distant past get regurgitated. They just don't know. What I do know and scientists ignore, is the connection to weather.

Shallow earthquakes, deeper tremors along southern San Andreas fault compared by researchers

Slip along the San Andreas occurs through either aseismic creep or earthquakes in the shallow parts of the fault (less than 15 kilometers deep) while slip takes the form of stable sliding in the deeper part of the fault lying 35 kilometers below the surface. The zone between these two regions--where LFEs occur--is called the brittle-ductile transition zone, where increasing heat and pressure cause rocks to become less prone to fracture and more prone to bending and flowing deformation.

Weather or solar cycle. I'm in the solar cycle school. And then there's the "poles are going to flip" school. Don't know what to make of that.
I dream of the day a chicken can cross the road with out it's motives being questioned.

SPOT ON!!!
This is all the stuff geologists miss, solar stressors and earth cycles. Not to mention the new Maunder Minimum approaching our climate,
Admitting our universe and the pull of the sun effects our planet, opens a can of worms over the lie of global warming, and that man is the cause.

I also agree, that the pole flip that finally occurs in the near future is going to make leftists' heads explode over the newly found body of evidence contradicting their lies.

QuoteShocking new research indicates that the level of activity on the Sun has a direct impact on the level of seismic activity here on Earth.  That is really bad news for us, because the giant ball of fire that our planet revolves around has become very erratic in recent years.

Wait, as my tiny brain processes the fact that, a ball of energy in the sky, more than a billion times the size of our planet can affect the undersurface of our planetary crust?
OMG, by conjecture it probably heats our planet too? :bigl  :bigl  :bigl

I love it, something Copernicus hinted at in the 1400s. :yikes

But seriously, our planet is a direct reflection 8 minutes after and before the Sun burps.
Studies like these get buried because our science community has been bought and paid for, going on 30 years by Marxists in our Govt.
Granted most people knew News was entertainment, as the braindead took them seriously.
How many years have we been saying this? How old are we? 15 years now?

If anything, we could see an end to the left's death grip on the Calif. coastline. A guy can hope, can't he?

Another threat. Note that there is also a Mammoth Lake bulge:

QuoteEarlier this week, I posted an article in which I specifically mentioned the New Madrid Fault Zone, the Cascadia Subduction Zone, and the potential for a cataclysmic earthquake in southern California.

But a full-blown eruption of Yellowstone has even greater potential for destruction.

So let us keep a very close eye on Yellowstone, and let us pray that it does not erupt any time soon.

I  agree, that Yellowstone is more of a threat than the San Andreas fault by 1000 times.
San Andreas would only affect the coastline where the left lives, so no big deal, it's not an area of production, they're bureaucrats.
But Yellowstone on the other hand could destroy farmland all across the bread basket of America, not to mention lives lost in Red States, forest fires, flooding etc.
I have a front row seat for San Andreas, let it happen!

Yeah, this was real news over the Winter, but all of a sudden, they stopped.
Though still very much a threat, the author missed the boat and didn't want to wait 50 years for the next series of quakes.
I love the way Earth proves we're nothing more than fungus when it comes to surviving major changes on the planet, but regardless, life will go on.
Sometimes the Earth needs a thorough tune-up.

Earthquakes and volcano's in Alaska now. Un commented on was the solar flairs this week. The largest was an X 2.7.

At the moment, it's eerily quiet around the globe. I check several times daily, so this is a bit odd.
Under 20 globally is very weird.
