They can claim stupid shit all they want, but it was the EU breaking a treaty with Russia over pushing NATO where they were prohibited.
If the EU keeps pushing, Russia will take all of Ukraine.

IMO the above threats against Russia and Putin are a joke. I spent a lot of time learning the history. Scott Horton has some long videos giving the history. He wrote a boo Provoked" that is long and said to be half footnotes to support what he writes.

I started out this war reading maybe 100 posts on Telegram. People on all sides have smart phones and post videos.  Many from Mariupol. 

I recently learned something from Grok. Some Ukr library institute said that up to 2023 around 10 million Russian language books had been disposed of. Burning them makes them look too much like NAZIs so they pulp them and turn them into egg cartons. They said their goal is 100M  Russian language books.

That doesn't surprise me in the least, because the EU, in particular, Germany, is following the Nazi model of Kristallnacht, though not quite there YET, the EU rhetoric is full of censorship and historic left wing policy.

What bothers me the most in all of this is a missed opportunity for a valued alliance with Russia and our shared values.
Had the Establishment not been so Hell bent on greed and the EU' hatred of the past USSSR, things would have been far different. Better? Most likely, but with Marxism still alive, the future is hard to predict.

I do not want to hijack this thread to make it all about Ukraine but this is the first internet/social media covered war for me. I have learned a lot on my own that way. Mitt Romney accidentally told the truth about why the US govt went after tik tok. Young people were watching videos of people having buildings dropped  on them in Gaza. I am like that but other media and about Ukraine.

There is no reason for this stupid war which could have been prevented several times. The western so called news is all propaganda. The west is erecting the iron curtain this time.

I agree, it's as if all of Xi's advisers were afraid to tell the truth, and possibly rightfully so.
Commies have a tendency to believe their own propaganda, that they are the most powerful, and their advisers were molded to believe such lies. 
I don't know, but not seeing that Trump is leading the globe in an entirely different direction than left, can only be seen as willful blindness. "The King wears no clothes." "Oh, look upon the great Poo Bear".     

That's what got Xi in trouble in the first place; he tried to save face all the while ignoring the plight of the Chinese people.
They played for decades on a false economy, one that allowed it to take over global manufacturing to the point that no one else could compete.
However, this move kept their people poor within a global economy profiting off the backs of an underpaid workforce, so when things finally went South, the only people with actual assets were the CCP elite.

Xi has ignored the deeper problems communism created, Trump has exploited it. Xi thought the CCP had the world in its hands, but what he actually had was an irreparably broken system that couldn't function in a real economy.
now he has a so called "Electorate" pissed, starving and no way to feed them.

This is akin to all those who relied on cheap Chinese crap, like the guy who only imports from China, now suddenly his supply is cut off, he never ordered form other countries, and a public who is starting to reject everything made in China.
The CCP is on the verge of collapse, and Trump has them by the balls. Hell, he has the world by the balls, and it doesn't mind, that's why so many want back into our economy.
