PSSST.  It's not about the squirrel, it's about government intrusion. Why do we allow government intrusion over a squirrel when the same government allows those on Epstein's list to go free? Maybe if the government spent less time chasing squirrels they could do the job they are supposed to. I bet you get it now.

I can't agree! If anything, it should just be to show you aren't crazy and had followed the laws of our Republic.
This should be a 10 minute procedure, like running a background check for a speeding ticket. And even then, it's repulsive to Free Americans.
Assuming we even need one at all, as in proven innocent before even being charged. The idea of a permit is offensive to our Republican form of Govt.
Maybe we should make people get Free Speech Permits? I'm merely playing Devil's advocate, so to speak.

If everyone could potentially be armed, then there would be no reason to require anything, because sheer numbers alone would offset any possibility of mass shootings.
If anything, we need tort reform.
