I'm getting to the point where I want these "downtrodden" union workers to be publicly flogged for bitching about pay and/or conditions.

These guys get paid way more money then the majority of us, that money is guaranteed no matter what, and they still complain about it.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street I'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.
This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.
How come nobody was interested in educating people about these rights until online videos got monetization?

The entire world has proven the dock workers are a throw back to the last century, while the rest of the Globe modernized and mechanized. It is what it is, and they can't stop progress.

I don't begrudge anyone from making all the money they can, they use Unions, vice versa, to hold industry hostage.
This is why I say, if we made products here, they could be as slow as they want because the world would be knocking down our door for the quality of our products.

This is where our Govt fails us, they interfere with modernization.
Someone like musk could build an offshore port connected by a trolley system, and one man operating the dock, which could handle 100 times the volume these workers can. But we all know, the Federal Govt/Unions would collaborate to stop him.

Ive always thought that the only way for unions to work in a free market is to apply anti trust laws on them to keep them from creating a monopoly on labour in their fields. There need to be broken up into smaller entities that have to compete with each other like the old GUILDs. Imagine if they were trying to make their workers the best so that they could demand the best pay?

I know what you mean. Unions scare the politicians into supporting them by claiming they can crush them by calling them communists for attacking the simple working guys representation, or we could pay you well to leave the unions alone. In other words, Unions are communist at the core.

So an agreement in struck. We pay you and you eave us alone. Welcome to politics.
Personally I despise Unions, they keep the laziest and keep them employed. The worst coworkers I've ever worked with had seniority, and until they're gone, no one moves out of their slot.
Problem is, many of these losers are related, sons daughters, cousins. I never wanted to beat someone's ass so bad in my early 20s, then this fat ass forklift driver who screwed up everyone's productivity, but he was the foreman's kid and dumb as a fuckin post!

I don't have a lot of sympathy for these people, they chose a job they knew was on it's last vestiges of an era gone by, Kinda like subsidizing buggy makers into the 21st century.
Point is, do we subsidize everyone about to be replaced, like fast food workers, or do they learn a new skill on their own?
Should we punish grocers for consolidating food and putting the milk man out of business?
I miss the milkman, but stores were cheaper.
