If I may follow up. There is a former Serbian priest, Father Branislav Peranović, who held a curing center for drug addicts in the Monastery of Crna Reka, and one of his methods was beating the shit out of them so they could repent for their sins. He successfully cured some 1,300 of them, but unfortunately in 2012 it happened that he accidentally beat to death one of his patients because of smuggling drugs into the center.

He was convicted to twenty years in prison as an example. He needed to be punished for trying to help the society. And the police can continue selling drugs to children. As they say, every kid can easily find the local drug dealer, but the police can't find them.


Father Peranović was a biker, an unusual priest, in this photo on his Harley.

One of the patients secretly filmed this with a cell phone. Father Peranović sometimes personally beat them, in this footage those were the people who worked for him.

Drug addicts are a real menace for the society, lying and stealing things and money just to buy drugs, they would sell their own mother for a fix. Their parents didn't beat them on time when they were children, they didn't know what to do with them, so they were sending them to Father Peranović to take care of them.
