We left the front gate open and a bear came over to check out our garbage can.  Fortunately we have a bear proof can and it sits inside my trailer I use to haul it back and forth for pick up.

He ended up leaving about 2 minutes later.

Even though we're fenced and gated, they can walk in from below where they've already crushed the fence.
