Scientist admits the 'overwhelming consensus' on the climate change crisis is 'manufactured'

We are told climate change is a crisis, and that there is an "overwhelming scientific consensus."

"It's a manufactured consensus," climate scientist Judith Curry tells me.

She says scientists have an incentive to exaggerate risk to pursue "fame and fortune."

She knows about that because she once spread alarm about climate change.

The media loved her when she published a study that seemed to show a dramatic increase in hurricane intensity.

"We found that the percent of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes had doubled," says Curry.

"This was picked up by the media," and then climate alarmists realized, "Oh, here is the way to do it. Tie extreme weather events to global warming!"

"So, this hysteria is your fault!" I tell her.

"Not really," she smiles.

"They would have picked up on it anyways."

But Curry's "more intense" hurricanes gave them fuel.

"I was adopted by the environmental advocacy groups and the alarmists and I was treated like a rock star," Curry recounts.

"Flown all over the place to meet with politicians."

It would not surprise me if Canada did just that. But as the Paradise fire, I was all over this from the beginning, literally moments after it started, because it could have affected my property.

Everyone, all the witnesses stated that the pole in question, had loose wiring, which did contact dry limbs, triggering the fire during a high wind event.
Yes, PG&E was to blame, only because the Marxist govt refused to allow them to do what was necessary to prevent the fire, as in trim back the trees and eliminate dry brush.

Right, the government is here to protect from the big bad boogy man. How about let the people be in charge of their own property, let them make their own decisions. There will be those who lost love ones who might not want to go back and rebuild. They should not have that decision taken away. But the governor is within his right to claim the land, the bill giving him that right passed a few months ago. Talk about great timing.  By the way, if keeping the land only for locals is such a great idea, how did Oprah buy 2000 acres?

Now I'd like to see an investigation of this particular circuit within a 5 mile stretch, as to how much power was being pushed through its lines.
Purposeful overloading would be exposed in records, causing transformers to explode or lines to droop and heat up.

With everything we now know about the fight to keep their land, it appears the Gov is ready to jump in and steal it under the guise of being preserved for the "People".

Zen? I would like your view on how alloy wheels, glass and steel melted into the cars and onto the pavement while becoming liquefied. Typical wildfires will generate 1400 degrees fahrenheit of energy. Glass melts at 2600 degrees. Steel melts at 3000 degrees. Alloy metal wheels at 2800 degrees. This is science. Surely you TRUST THE SCIENCE?

Pretty good summary of all that happened, too much went wrong, but perhaps the biggest crime for the people after the deaths, their government sees the opportunity for a land grab.

Why is Hawaii burning?

When I first heard about wildfire in Hawaii, I thought that it must be on the big island.
I figured that a wildfire in Hawaii must have been caused by a volcano.
But no, it was on Maui.  So that made me suspicious.

The global "elite's" track record makes it seem likely that
foul play is behind almost EVERY tragic event!
So MANY catastrophes have turned out to be MANUFACTURED CRISES!
It's getting to be really hard to believe that ANY tragedy "just happened!"

So here's what I suspect: I suspect arson. 
It looks to me like someone started the fire,
and waited for a day where wind conditions would make the fire
the most devastating to the target.

Why would Lahania be targeted?
Because it's the one place on Maui where the most common people live.
It looks to me like the global ruling "elite" have chosen Maui to be their exclusive enclave.
And they arranged this fire to get rid of all the common people who already live there.

Of course we can't be sure that this is what happened.
Other explanations have included -
- power lines downed by wind from the nearby hurricane,
- non-native grasses, etc. that burn easily when dry,
- cigarette thrown from a moving car.

Whether the fire was set intentionally or started by accident,
I fully expect that the global ruling clique will do all they can to exploit the tragedy!

Update -
My expectation is confirmed!  The State of Hawaii is trying to seize the land!
