With "could" being the operative word, yes, of course he could.  Will he though? IMO, voters are fickle, and at this moment, I'd say, not likely. But, I'm not convinced DeSantis is even going to run for POTUS. If he doesn't, perhaps thoughts of loosing Fla. would be the deciding factor.  I don't think many Floridians want to loose him as Gov. The last election proved that.

Like what could go wrong with this line of thinking, when you say the fact that DeSantis is falling in the polls is proof that the state of Florida is "ecstatic " (your words not mine) about him, even though those polls were nation wide? And does that same logic (and I am using that term very loosely) apply for all the other candidates, the lower the poll numbers, the more the people are ecstatic about them?

Why the continual obfuscation & deflection? You're either feeling guilty or greatly confused. My initial quote was only meant as a 'reality check' for your haughtiness - " We are eight months away from the first Republican primaries. It's going to be a fast year." You said that, no one else. And when you quote someone, don't just use one word and add your own context. It suggest the arrow hit it's target.

Proverbs 16:9 is where the initial Yiddish quote I used comes from. Maybe that will clear all this up for you. Carry on.

Glad to see you learned how to space out the quotes, I think it is a feature you will really enjoy. As far as the "fast year" comment, I have always found the year leading into the election to go by extremely fast, lots going on. Why did you find that "haughty"?
