Yep, and a few weeks of uncontrolled relentless pressure on the system.
East of Sac is expected to flood again, only far worse than it has in 100 years.
I used to drive to work in Yuba city across miles and miles of farm land, where it looked like someone had built a road on the ocean, that was normal, and all the ranches built on high ground.

Now the ranches will flood as well. Areas that haven't flooded since the 1800s will probably be seeing historic flooding as well.
I expect this to be global news, further embarrassing Nucelinni and his botched leadership roll.

The flood system was only designed to handle 100 year events, this is probably a 500 year event, where no one alive has a clue just how bad things are about to get.
I grew up down there, those levees simply weren't built for this amount of water. I assure you, those in the know, are moving their families to higher foothill ground.

Yea, I remeber levee failure story's from the 80's. On the positive side it will help the pan for gold/dregg for gold crowd.

Yep, it's a part of the path of life. Eat, or be eaten.
No dogs, all those taken will be by forest critters, mostly fox and falcon, or the early owl, but she will probably wind up with three in the end, and that is probably the right amount for procreation.
