Ahh, now it makes sense. Yes, they planned it to make the biggest splash possible for the woke movement, but it backfired hugely.
They thought it would further hurt the conservative base by pushing their agenda, an agenda designed to send the message we can do as we please, and there's nothing you can do about it.

They didn't count on the blow back from their consumers. Now they're panicking, even tried to claim it was just to show diversity support to a small group, never intended to be a big issue. They lied and got caught.
Anheuser is suffering in their stock value over this asinine stunt, as is their Marketing exec. and the blowback that's receiving as well.

This Youtube video by Matt Walsh pretty much explains the thinking of the marketing VP that came up with this idea... He doesn't like Bud Light beer to start with

I have many core values. One of them is believing that people have the right to live their lives as they please  as long as they don't negatively impact other peoples'right to do the same.

Along those lines  Mulvaney has done nothing wrong, that I'm aware of.  Being trans  aka having a mental disorder, isn't illegal.  Making money from your popularity also isn't illegal.  Those items being true, why would I care if Bud Light sends him some beer with his face?

I'm looking at what I currently believe and know to be true.  Dylan Mulvaney, as far as I know, hasn't advocated destroying anyone's childhood.  I also don't believe that allowing people to live their lives as they please, as long as it doesn't negatively impact others, is "marxist" or is going to destory American culture.  I always thought individual freedom was one of the cornerstones of American culture...  I also know that Bud Light/Anheuser Busch is a business and businesses generally like to make money by acquiring customers, which is likely the reason that they chose to advertise with DM - who has 11 million followers.
