I was glad to see this. Austin is gone as a city, completely upside down in their morals. The Texas constitution has a weak governor, hopefully this can move fast.

Yep, I was shocked Abbott moved as quickly as he did without taking the temperature of the state, polling and how will people "Feel" about it in La and Ny, oh, and would it effect illegals in Guatemala.

Even though he tends to eventually do the ight thing, it's like pulling teeth with this guy. I swear, it's as if he runs everything by pollsters, study groups and every lawyer in the world before he moves on anythng.

The way I read this, the Board of Pardons and Paroles has the final say on whether a pardon is recommended or not; if not, then the Governor is powerless to do anything further.  How political is this board in Texas??

The way I've always understood it is, the Governor always has the power of Pardon, regardless?

The governor of Texas has to go through the board. Abbott has asked for a speeded up process, do not know what that timetable means. The members get their position on the board through appointment from the governor, so their is some working relationship there. I'm pretty confident this will go through, but no idea on the timeline, or even have any expectation on the timeline. But nobody thinks what happened in Austin is justified nor is it justice. I can not recall something like this happening before.

We have a fairly weak governor as compared to other states. One example is the issuing of pardons. What will give Abbott power in the handling of this case, is 1) he is right, and 2) the D.A. was out of bounds in how he handled the case, very similar to the case the D.A. in Washing D.C. did in indicting Trump.

If I could have Abbotts ear for one moment, it would be to tell Abbott whether or not he has plans to move forward in politics, that not only is the country is watching how he is handling this case, but also Texas deserves justice to be done. The D.A. has lost his right to decide on any case on Texas. Period.

Im hearing some bad shit on this. The case officer, a seasoned Detective, has stated publicly that the surveillance tapes that recorded this incident were edited by the prosecutor to omit exculpatory evidence shown to the grand jury. This prosecutor is another Soros stooge. We are seeing a trend here.

I hope when Abbott pardons this Man that the states AG opens a civil rights violation on this corrupt prosecutor
