I have heard discussions on that subject. I think among other theories, Oswald might have been a mafia hire who did not know his days would be over right after the assassination. I do not understand why the files were/are kept secret for all these years. Normally I see where the cause of secrecy is to coverup where someone screwed up their job. So I wonder, did the government use the mafia, or do you think the mafia used the government? Or did those who should have known not take the threat serious and that is what the secrecy is all about?

There is no simple answer here. The reasons and trail of EVIDENCE are extensive. My knowledge of this subject stems from my tenure as an LEO in Washington D.C. where we received training by the US Secret Service in VIP protection, using the Kennedy assassination as a model of WHAT NOT TO DO. But also my college thesis for a degree in criminology was the Assassination. Lots and lots of research material involved here

Somewhere on this platform some years ago a posted my thoughts and conclusions. but let me summarize a few points.

1.) Mob Boss Sam Giancana had JFK Killed, later on he killed Bobby, he had the MOTIVE for such and even admitted it years later. Joe Kennedy an Old Bootlegger pal of the Chicago outfit arranged The vote of the Mafia Controlled Unions in the Midwestern states Got JFK Elected.
The Kennedy's went after Organized crime...bad move.

2.) The FBI under Hoover was corrupt, everyone thinks it was because the Mob had pix of Hoover cross dressing engaging in sex acts etc. WRONG...Hoover was a degenerate Gambler who owed the Mob bookies mega bucks he played the horses & was a frequent figure at the race track. Hoover protected the Mob, denied it existed. There is some evidence to suggest Oswald was  an FBI asset in Hoover's war on communism. Read the book "assignment Oswald" by the FBI agent assigned to track him for detailed analysis his thoughts are revealing.

3.) The Mob specifically used Oswald (and later Sirhan) to divert attention from themselves, you wouldn't use a mob guy to make a hit of this type, could be traced back to you, you use somebody so far away from what you are. Thus Oswald....the question comes as to how the mob found "The perfect patsy" and further more how would they make him think he was working for the CIA or for Castro (?) this is where speculation comes in. There is strong BALLISTIC evidence that Oswald attempted to kill a possible CIA operative, a retired US Army officer with the same rifle used on Kennedy. There is some evidence to believe this person was planning some type of off the Grid soldier of fortune type operation aimed at Cuba/Castro. A motivation for Oswald to kill him. How would he have learned that? From the Cuban's or from the CIA. The Cuban's get my vote.

4) It is possible Oswald was a CIA asset all along since his defection to the Soviet Union. Both the mob and the CIA had an interest in Cuba, the mob spent millions building hotels and Casino's in Cuba which Castro seized, it is an established fact that the CIA sought the mob's input on Killing Castro, the Mob had strong motivation for removing Castro and reclaiming Cuba...so did the CIA.

5) Now we come to motivation...I ask rhetorically, what was Oswald's Motivation? Was Oswald led to believe he was working for the Cuban CIA when actually in the employ of the MOB? How did the Mob find him? Thru a CIA contact? Or from the FBI ? Was Oswald's motivation in killing Kennedy because he was led to believe there would be a possible second attempt by JFK to destroy Castro? Did the Mob get wind of or recruit Oswald from the FBI? Did person's in either the CIA or FBI know what Oswald was going to be used for? (Unlikely)

Here is some other food for thought:

The scene of the crime was complete chaos, there was no proper crime scene search, valuable evidence was lost thru the incompetence of both the USSS the Dallas PD.  There is even a possibility that one of the projectiles that hit JFK was fired accidently by a USSS agent who was using a newly introduced weapon (M-16) he was unfamiliar with.

If Oswald was an asset (informant) for either the CIA, the FBI or both, who later killed Kennedy without their knowledge, you can see why either entity would disavow any knowledge of him. If the tale is true, one of the fatal shots may have been an accidental discharge from an inexperienced USSS agent you can understand
attempts at cover ups.

I think there will be a lot of confirmation of things we already know, ie it was a mob hit, Oswald Killed by a Mob associate.

However the two main questions are How the Mob located & recruited Oswald and what was Oswald's true motivation. I believe there will be revelations on these details and they will prove the corruption between organized crime and our Govt Local, State Federal and the Judiciary, Local State Federal

Your original post tells me nothing about your point of view on this topic mainly because the archives released appear to be pages upon pages of info and I'm to lazy to read it all. Is there something in there you wanted us to know?
