WE CAUGHT OUR THEIF.

Last night the bear came through and tipped over our rendering pot, or rather 40 person stew pot, weighs around 75 lbs.
The one that did it was a huge bear, so the one that came by today was probably its cub.
We had been storing dog food under it for the injured opossum.
You can see it sitting on the deck because this morning I tipped back up on the deck and stuck the rest of the food under it.
We'd wondered why the other bear hadn't finished it off, and now we know why, it sent the baby in for the rest.

He had just crossed the creek and his wet hair was packed with super fine clay dust.
Our dogs get the same "Punk" look.

The dust up here is easily 100 times finer than flour, it can hang in the air for a long time.
Forget about keeping the house clean. Just ask Toy.

It was happily eating away when it looked up and saw the herd gone.
Our other camera shows her panic while the rest of the herd was on the other side of the fence behind the camera.
Our other camera picked up all the commotion, but was too grainy to post.

Probably birds, or a squirrel. Not much down there during the day (that I know of). And yes, I asked Toy if she'd seen our cat today.

Yeah, I halfway expected her to check it out. She must have focused on something far more interesting. I need a few more cameras going up the creek where she was headed.
I'm looking for some seriously top of the line trail cams. We've tried virtually every brand out there, but so far nothing.
