Democrats Sue The FEC Over Pending Trump 2024 Run

On Wednesday, a Democratic group called American Bridge filed a lawsuit against the Federal Election Commission (FEC). Their argument is that the FEC has done nothing to hold former President Donald Trump accountable for teasing a potential 2024 run.

American Bridge 21st Century President Jessica Floyd accused Trump of beginning his 2024 campaign "illegally," claiming his repeated teases are giving him a potential advantage over other potential presidential candidates.

"Donald Trump started his 2024 presidential campaign the same way he ended his 2020 campaign – illegally. We intend to hold him accountable," Floyd claimed in a statement. "There's no end to his grift. American Bridge is filing suit to prevent him from continuing to flout the law with his current, active presidential campaign."
