Courageous woman.  The Catholic church tends to treat their Nuns like crap on regular days. I can't imagine how this woman has not been silenced.

She's one tough broad, and I admire that immensely. I remember people like her when I was growing up, we called them moral, steadfast in their beliefs, the core of a functioning society. They are absolutely necessary!

It's good to see that some still exist in the church, regardless of the collapse of leadership.

It was easy to remember them because almost everyone fit that category. They still exist, but now you have to look for them. One thing for certain, don't bother looking in the liberal cities for them.

BINGO!!!!
That was the standard of the era, from teacher to cop, we all knew the difference between Right and wrong.
Now the left blurred the lines, and the kids are the victims of the society they created, or rather, DESTROYED.

Funny, I vividly remember when one could assume that everyone had the same moral standards and the societal rejects were a rarity.  Now I just assume that everyone I meet has the potential to be someone who'd screw you as soon as look at you.

Born and raised in South Dakota, I moved to the West Coast at age 18 and stayed there until August 2021.  Hubby and I escaped from Seattle to Port Angeles WA in 2015.  I lost my husband in Oct. 2020 and as I watched Inslee making a gulag of Washington State, I just decided to move back home.

I still have to contend with Sioux Falls, which likes to think it's a leftist utopia, but I live far enough away from the city that it's comfortable.  Good people in my small town.  The high school boys are the first people out cleaning up when we get downed branches from a windstorm, or clearing snow from the driveways of the elderly.  There is very, very little crime here.  The town is clean, safe and quiet.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Small towns may have their characters but they rarely have their socialist. What I like best, if you didn't like something the mayor did, you could go bang on his door. You have lived in some beautiful parts of the country, don't know if I could take the
winters. Welcome to the forum, don't be shy.

Thanks Possum.  I loved Washington until about 10 years ago, when I started seeing Seattle turning scary dystopian.  I loved being a young adult living and working in Seattle.  My husband adored the city -- ran for office in the late 70's.  I thanked God for the dementia that took over my husband because it saved him from understanding how viciously the leftists were destroying our beautiful city last summer.

The only thing I'm not liking about my new home is that the city is all up in your business.  You need a permit for almost everything.  But I'll accept that because my town is clean, safe, quiet and very well armed.
