We have several Lodge pieces, the cooking finish is rough poor, not slick & smooth.

Oh I don't know, it had the right ring to it, just not a large skillet. 10" max maybe even an 8". It sure as hell isn't the 12" I use for some stuff like steaks or chili. He couldn't heft it like that. Besides if you cracked someone over the head with it like he was doing they'd likely be dead.
