Drain The Swamp

Before getting to the serious stuff, a little celebration:

Be sure to rub their faces in it.

Now, getting to the serious part:

The Republicans who voted for conviction were:
Richard Burr of North Carolina
Bill Cassidy of Louisiana
Susan Collins of Maine
Mitt Romney of Utah
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania
Ben Sasse of Nebraska.

The vote was 43 not guilty to 57 guilty -- short of the 67 guilty votes needed to convict Trump.

Burr and Toomey are retiring in 2022, so they don't matter. Collins represents Maine and I think has to act like a leftist to keep her seat but there is no excuse for someone representing Alaska, Louisiana, Nebraska, or Utah to have voted for this. These four definitely deserve to be primaried. But there will still be the problem of voter fraud, without solving which, we cannot teach these 4 a lesson.

Moving on:

With the result of the second impeachment charade a forgone conclusion in Washington, let us now turn to the final partisan tool remaining in Democrats' torture closet: The 14th Amendment.

This amendment allows Congress to banish from future federal office any current or former politician deemed by congress to have "engaged in insurrection." Its adoption after the Civil War was designed to prevent officers or political leaders of the Confederate regime from being elected to Congress or the presidency.

As far as I have read, invoking the 14th Amendment of the Constitution to keep Trump from office in itself would require a simple-majority vote. If Democrats and Republicans vote along party lines in the current 50-50 Senate makeup, Vice President Kamala Harris could cast a tiebreaking vote. It might not even come to that, considering the 7 piece of shit RINOs present in the Senate.

Several Democrats have already expressed approval for taking this route. Whether or not it would come to pass is uncertain. It would be subject to a 60-vote filibuster. So, 10 Republicans would have to join the cause if all 50 Democrats vote in support. Taking in account the 7 RINOs, only 3 Republicans (actually 2, considering what the Turtle said after the acquittal) would stand in the way.

Of course, this is all assuming that the Dems would even keep the filibuster and not end it, as they have expressed their desire to, or even neatly sidestep it.

Not to mention, it would raise a lot of constitutional questions. Not that the Democrats care about the law or the Constitution anymore, but still.

For example, if you are tried for something you can't be tried again for the same thing/incident. Does that fall under the double jeopardy law?

The 14th Amendment, adopted in 1868, includes a section saying Congress can bar people who "engaged in insurrection or rebellion" against the U.S. from holding office. But as we saw, the Senate has ACQUITTED President Trump of insurrection. If President Trump isn't convicted of insurrection, he can't be barred for insurrection. Again, not that the Dems are going to give two shits about this.

Oh and by the way, lest you forget:

McConnell is calling for Trump's criminal prosecution. "President Trump is still liable for everything he did while in office as an ordinary citizen. He didn't get away with anything. Yet. We have a criminal justice system in this country."

This only 10 minutes after he voted to find Trump "not guilty". You've probably heard it before, the Turtle is a scumbag.

This is his spirit animal.

Anyway, I left a message for him calling him a traitor. In any case, we can only hope that now Congress would say, "That was a waste of time. Let's get to real work". But knowing them, that won't happen. No, I know what's going to happen next. They are probably going to impeach him again

Still, it was a good day for us. Even though we have all been cheated and had the election stolen from us and have had to suffer all kinds of horrible decisions, we have still triggered the Dems yet again, even while not in power  I'm drinking a bottle of Jack Daniels while reading the triggered tweets of the Lefties. It's beautiful.

I hope he does, though some reports have been saying that he is not willing to run again but will instead help some other conservative pro-Trump politician a la Ron DeSantis in 2024. It could be false though so.... In any case, we would have to end voter fraud swiftly and completely before even thinking about a 2024 candidate, because if we don't, no conservative candidate would stand any chance. By 2024, Trump will also be almost 80, so that will be a factor too.

I reread the 14th Amendment. It also requires a 2/3 majority. DOA.

Actually, no. Under congressional precedent, only a simple majority of both chambers is needed to invoke this penalty. Congress can later remove the disqualification, but only if two-thirds of both houses vote in favor of doing so. Again, it's probably not going to work. Trump might very well challenge it in the Supreme Court, and most probably, the conservative majority bench would rule in his favor.

Hell if I know. They have the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate as well, so there's not much chance. If you haven't read HR 1, I suggest you go through it. That bill essentially legalizes voter fraud. It probably will pass, considering that many Dems have talked about ending the filibuster. In this case, they won't even have to do it, they could sidestep it. Plus, Biden has already talked about granting amnesty to 9 million illegal immigrants, so you can imagine what that will do. HR 1 also contains proposal for DC statehood, which actually only requires a simple majority. They've promised that as well. There's no chance of us gaining the Senate again if that happens. So, right now things look very bleak.

I hope President Trump files this week to run again in 2024.  That will light another shit storm.  The marxist will have to deal with that for years.  They can't let it go as it is.  But President Trump filling the papers to run would keep them back to their usual Orange Man Bad and they would not be able to thing of anything else.  In the mean time thousands of Americans losing their jobs thanks to Chairman Xiden and the whore.  Then we have a wave of illegal vagabonds coming across the border that will be given covid shots, free medical and dental, free housing, welfare, food stamps and free education, in Spanish of course.  This load of bullshit that is coming is even more than most of Chairman Xidens supporters will put up with, maybe.

Keep President Trump out there living rent free in the minds of these simpletons would just be outstanding.

Unfortunately, there is no way to recall Cassidy.  I wrote him an email asking him why the democrats had to take Trump's words out of context to prove there case if they had the proof of wrong doing.

Like with Romney, I was tricked into voting for Cassidy.  I won't make that mistake again.

Republican GOP in Louisiana censored Cassidy, but who can even trust them anymore.
