Trump's base is rabid in their adoration and support. No matter what state he goes to, they will come to fill an arena and make things look crowded. But having grateful dead loyalty in your groupies is more misleading than indicative. As I said, rally size will have zero bearing on the election result. Trump's base is rabid. No one disputes that. They will always pack in to hear him. That doesn't translate into broader adulation beyond the rabid believers. Not seeing this fact is one of the reasons most of his core supporters can't even begin to wrap their heads around what is coming in Nov. Holding up Trump rallies as evidence he is broadly popular with the general electorate is a fool's errand. They show only that his base, the group he has governed for exclusively these last 4 years, is loyal and active. well.....duh. Everyone knows his base will show up to rallies.
