The funniest part was how the Republicans applauded loudly at points he wasn't expecting applause. Made me laugh.

Following up in Richmond today

"I'm asking all of you to lift up your voices," he said. "I want you to call, I want you to email, I want you to tweet, I want you to fax, I want you to visit, I want you to Facebook, send a carrier pigeon, I want you to tell your congressperson the time for gridlock and games is over, the time for action is now."

Was Mr. Obama telling the American people to send this message to their Republican representatives in Washington??

Perhaps Mr. Obama did not receive the message the American people sent last November when we sent 8-9 Democrat Senators and 60+ Democrat House members and 6 Democrat Governors home.

He wants to talk about gridlock?  He should be talking to the Democrats that remain in Washington defying the will of the American people.

May I suggest we fire up our emails and faxes and send the President's message to the Democrats on Capitol Hill.

With more than 14 million people out of work and all Americans fearing a double-dip recession, President Obama stood face to face Thursday night with a Congress that has perversely resisted lifting a finger to help. Some Republicans refused to even sit and listen. But those Americans who did heard him unveil an ambitious proposal — more robust and far-reaching than expected — that may be the first crucial step in reigniting the economy.
