DOJ to Propose Rolling Back Big Tech's Legal Immunity

People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Details of the proposed legislation were still being worked out and could change. But in general the plan aims to prevent companies from removing content they find objectionable without providing explanations and adhering to their content-moderation policies, said the official.

It also would limit protections when companies allow third-party content that's deemed harmful or illegal, the official said.

In the end these platforms may just become bland if this move works. I think it would silence more voices than it will help.

In my opinion Bland would be preferable to biased

I agree. That's why I love PBS

Just saw this report:

If it requires an act from Congress I don't think this is going to amount to anything.

What's a bland conservative alternative?

Things that require an act of Congress? You mean like that time Obummer wanted to shield 5 million illegals from deportation and allow them to work and the United States legally? Well, we all know how that turned out. It set the stage for Trump and his border wall and his stand on illegal immigration to win the presidency.

The decision was just nine words long: "The judgment is affirmed by an equally divided court."

But its consequences will be vast, said Walter Dellinger, who was acting solicitor general in the Clinton administration. "Seldom have the hopes of so many been crushed by so few words," he said.

Thanks I will start doing that. I'm still having trouble with a few functions but I hope to get it worked out soon
