To your point, I don't think any of the current crop of stalking horse candidates are the one they will nominate next year.  The DNC know they can't elect a socialist from the far Left.  Just like in '68, they will abandon the Far Left and pick a Humphrey at the Convention.  (while the Far Left riot in the streets).  The strategy may be that they intend to weaken Trump to the point that although America may not be ready for an obvious socialist, they may settle on one that ain't so obvious.

I think its hard to have a strategy when there is no leadership. The dims are reduced to two items, throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks and running as far and fast to the radical left as they can. It's why I say, half kidding, that hillary is going to run. She wants the presidency more than she wants life. Question is, what will the dims do when they realize she will probably do better than the rest of the clown party? I do not see anyone in the dim party willing to draft hillary because they would rather have no one in charge than to have someone who will curb their mad dash to socialism and try to put it back under cover.  That and the fact I do not think the socialist in the dim party look at hillary as a fellow socialist, she is more into personal greed.

True, but the DNC is a complete mess. They allowed the radicals into the party out of desperation for power and now the chickens have come home to roost. Times are very different from the 60s when the party actually had members that loved the country and what it stood for. That is not the Dim party of today.

I don't think Tom Perez could organize a one car funeral. If they try to undermine one of the candidates it will absolutely destroy the party for 2020.
