Could this happen?

Could this scenario possibly happen?

Let's say Trump falls just short of the necessary 1,237 delegates, and the nomination goes to a contested convention.

Clearly, the establishment Republicans don't want Trump to be the nominee.

The problem is, they're not necessarily fans of Ted Cruz, either.

Could they force-feed an establishment candidate upon the masses? Such as Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush?

Could this actually happen?

No, it couldn't.  The GOP only controls something like 7% (I think) of the delegates.  The odds are just too stacked for Cruz for him to lose.

Short answer, Hell no it won't happen.
But there is one other thing to consider.
Cruz schooled Prebuts on the rules earlier this month, and if these Marxists try and pull a fast one, Cruz will splay them out like day old fish at an open air mkt.

I seriously doubt anything like that will happen.

Can you imagine the backlash?  Not only would the person picked not win, their name would be mud forever.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

Could it happen?

Sure, and we could surrender to North Korea....

That scenario is so far off in the distance, only the false prophets of doom are talking about it.

Why just yesterday, I heard some old fart say it was all over, he won - but in reality, he got beat soundly by a Commie woman.

Depends on what you mean by short. If it's about 1150, 1200 then no Trump will still take it. Now if its just over or under a 1000 then it's possible. Iffy but possible.
