Trump Needs To Debate Cruz If He Hopes To Win

Strangely enough the author is correct, because Trump will not have enough delegates to stave off a contested convention, a convention he is guaranteed to lose.

If you listen to mainstream media, Donald Trump has the nomination all but wrapped up. The drumbeat of Trump's foregone nomination is incessant and will grow louder next week when he wins all five primaries on Tuesday. Then, the primary pushes west for the final leg of this long race. Once it heads west, most of the primaries favor Ted Cruz.

Trump has been riding a wave of sympathy and, of course, anger ever since he and his media minions started chanting about how unfair and rigged the delegate process is. I won't even get started on the lunacy of that narrative. However, if Cruz is able to win Indiana and at least five of the nine districts, he's well positioned to prevent Trump from getting to 1,237 before the convention. With a contested convention, Cruz is currently the favorite. It's for this reason that Trump needs a debate. He needs to show his chops man-to-man against Cruz (and no, John Kasich should not be invited)

Ted needs to say this, first and last thing out of his mouth at every event and in every interview...as well as his surrogates on the trail.

"I challenge Donald to a Debate, We need another dabate",
"Donald is afraid to debate real issues",
"The people need to hear, compare and contrast the substantive issues now that its down to two candidates",
"There is a reason Donald will rarely do face to face interviews as well as refusing to debate me......."

Call him out on all his "phone-e" interviews where he probably has a dozen people feeding him lines and policy facts on "his positions".  He can't, any reporter with an ounce of integrity (I know) smells the blood in the water after his last  sit down with Mr. Tingles and the Town hall with Mr. Vanderbilt.

My guess is you will not see a debate, or for that matter a one on one face to face interview (other than the PMer's of FOXnewsPAC) the rest of the primary season.

Bumbling, fumbling, dumb as dirt, Lib in Conservative clothing, Trump is not going to get on a debate stage with Ted Cruz. Trump may be dumb as a bag of hammers, but he isn't THAT dumb! And neither are his handlers. the idea now is to keep him hidden as much as possible while his henchmen go out and do his dirty work for him. Sort of like how the Dims are mostly hiding Hilary. She only appears for the occasional sound bite or friendly interview.

True, but that's precisely why Cruz needs to hammer that incessantly, relentlessly... Call him "Debate Dodge'n Donnie" or something....Triple D

I would like to see a debate between just the two of  them because in the previous debates, so much time has been given to Trump that Cruz and the others didn't really have a chance to say much.  I know Cruz's basic positions on most issues, but I'd like to see him stronger on Muslim immigration.  However, no candidate will ever have every attribute one wishes, but for me, he comes closest.

Wonder what Trump's debate tactics would be?

Talk over Cruz, yell louder and call Ted a Liar.

3 pronged strategy.

A.  I'm a billionaire. You are not.

B.  I can make big deals.  Your a Liar, I make deals

C.  I know how to use the government for taking things from people.
It will come in handed for getting more taxes out of people.

You make me wanna roll my windows down and Cruz!

Cryptic Bert

Trump will admit he lost money in Atlantic City before he debates Cruz.

Trump doesn't want a debate. His answer would be that Cruz isn't mathematically able to win the nomination outright now so what he says doesn't matter and he will whine for Lyin Ted to drop out and all Trumps fanatics will cheer.

Unfortunately you are right, that would probably be his position, logically and historically a completely laughable one.  He will repeat it like some kind of  meditation chant setting the narrative and the majority of the media and the trumpettes will take it as gospel and move along.

Does anyone need more proof that the LSM is in the tank for Trump?
Seriously, if the tables were turned, every interview would hound with the question of why are you ducking interviews, with follow ups, articles, political ads.

Am I the only one that sees little strompy feet getting Lib Dim candidate treatment?

^This, not a peep from the msm about another debate. It's like as soon as Rubio dropped out there was no more need for debate. It's like Al Gore saying the debate about global warming is over. In fact though...now is finally the right and best time for a debate between the 2 top candidates. You would think the media would want one for the ratings if nothing else. I guess the need to keep Trump on top is more important. We can't have our little Donny exposed before he goes up against Hillary...
