QuoteDemocratic 2016 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders' tax plan has been talked about by everyone in the country, but as he gains traction in the polls it's time to start wondering: "What would it mean for my paycheck?"

While the self-described Democratic socialist said his economic proposals would provide free college, Medicare for all and a slew of other new welfare programs, the cost of the expansion of government is far steeper than he is letting on.

Sanders, who has said moving people out of poverty is critical for the success of the country, would tax Americans from top to bottom to carry out his plan. Indeed, with Sanders in the White House, every income bracket – including the lowest bracket – would lose at least 7 percent off what they take home.

Looks like Bernie's 'free' stuff isn't free after all. What did you expect for a socialist?

What the Marxist Bastard is taking out of your paycheck is just the begining, consider all the other increase in taxes you'll have to pay for Gas, electricity, non hybrid vehicles and various add on's designed to promote "clean air/water".

Retired people the same age as this blithering idiot will scarcely welcome yet another tax hike, from yet another parasite. Maybe it's time he lived on less than $1,000 a month and see how he likes it. Oh. Wait. Here's the menu for his campaign-plane....

Request for quiller...  a side-by-side of Cruz in college, and Bernie.  Cruz has all the credentials, looks normal, etc., and there's the Bernie pic of him getting hauled away by the police.  I looked for it and didn't find it, so it's untapped territory...

According to a guy who follows Bernie and is a supporter Bernie will lose NY and win the week after in the NE states. He's gone beat Hillary.

Senator Sanders (I-VT) would enact a number of policies that would raise payroll taxes and individual income taxes, especially on high-income households.
Senator Sanders's plan would raise tax revenue by $13.6 trillion over the next decade on a static basis. However, the plan would end up collecting $9.8 trillion over the next decade when accounting for decreased economic output in the long run.
A majority of the revenue raised by the Sanders plan would come from a new 6.2 percent employer-side payroll tax, a new 2.2 percent broad-based income tax, and the elimination of tax expenditures relating to healthcare.
According to the Tax Foundation's Taxes and Growth Model, the plan would significantly increase marginal tax rates and the cost of capital, which would lead to 9.5 percent lower GDP over the long term.
On a static basis, the plan would lead to 10.56 percent lower after-tax income for all taxpayers and 17.91 percent lower after-tax income for the top 1 percent. When accounting for reduced GDP, after-tax incomes of all taxpayers would fall by at least 12.84 percent.

How can he beat Hillary if he doesn't have the delegates?

He is what 110 behind now? The Superdelegates are not firm now. They are planted on top at the end unless the person they are on wins it.

So if with her Superdelegates Hillary gets to her magic number then they won't move. But if Bernie would win with them, most would swap to Bernie to get him to win. According to Hearsay, Bill Clinton himself said he'd swap him delagtes to Bernie if he took the lead over Hillary.

Bernie's ground game is superior to Hillary. he has already been to Oregon here in Lib Portland. Our vote isn't until May. I can't even get a Ted Cruz sign out here yet from our Republican office but Bern has held a rally here.

Bernie is gonna sweep Oregon. He has been endorsed by our clown Portland senator  Jeff Merkley. The first senator to endorse a Dem. He will prolly sweep Lib Washington and California prolly will be a fight.

This is exactly why I told my wife I wanna move to Texas. We brought in a clown Governor who had a sham marriage and this Lib moron's voted that POS in despite his scandal. Then a even dumber broad named Kate Brown became acting Governor and signed the largest minimum wage hike in the history of the US. Portland will have a mandated Minimum Wage of $15.00 in like 5 years under this rule. Every Republican voted against it but these clowns in Portland and Eugene don't know how rural Oregon works.
