Cruz admonishes Iowans to not fight with each other in the caucus meetings.  He explains how it could lead to unwanted consequences.

Yep, Cruz is right.  The thing is we are virtually united... until it comes to the top of the pyramid:  Governorships, the House, the Senate, and President. 

The way it's structured, the Party will never die.  But there's something about the perceived power at the top which divides us personally.  -If only for a short time.

The media successfully muddies the water every election cycle which confuses some people who do not diligently follow the candidates' words and records.

Every election my sister calls me and says, "Okay, who should I vote for?"  She knows that I am always informed on the pros and cons of every candidate.  She never follows politics at all.

Yes.  I just hope it is a huge win over Trump.  I want it to shock all of America!

It will certainly hurt Trump in the following Primaries.

I think for many of us, it will be exactly what we expected, but for Trumpettes it will come as total shock because they got caught up in the media created hype and believed he was something bigger than he was.
Their loss will be demoralizing, and for the average Trumpette that was just along for the ride and rah rah, they'll move onto Ted's team, they hate being pegged to a loser.

I'd predict that Cruz and Trump will see a dramatic change in polling over night when Trump loses.
Note I didn't say Ted's win, because a Trump loss signals the end of Trump's campaign.

I firmly believe at this point in time Trump's poll numbers are just to piss of the media and to keep a crap load of topics on the front pages of the news.

When it actually comes time to pull the trigger in the voting booths Trump is going to get his ass handed to him and the shame of that defeat will be deafening.

Cruz has won over the coalition of conservative influencers who vaulted Huckabee into contention nationally with a Iowa upset in 2008. The same faith leaders and activists who coalesced behind Huckabee in 2008 and former Sen. Rick Santorum in 2012 have mostly lined up early and vocally for Cruz.

Cruz is doing what Huckabee did before, but he's doing it with more money, more organization and a lot more attention. And his key Iowa supporters have long told Fox News First that they are deliberately choosing a candidate with a broader national base than they did in 2008 and 2012. The goal is to avoid the repeat of giving a conservative candidate an early boost only to see them falter in the home stretch.

As one conservative leader recently told us "this time, we're going all the way."
