Ok, I grasp that sex education ect. is elective and informed debate is a worthwhile activity. So what. My question is simple. What is this crapola doing in the public schools in the first place! Where is history, where is geography, where is higher mathematics, where are the sciences including biology, chemistry and physics.
We are already paying a price which will get heavier over time, as our economy continues to gravitate toward high-tech. The jobs of the future will increasingly go the the Asiatics who have a superior ability to abstract as well as the character traits necessary to succeed in school.

Those "character traits" are instilled by good parenting!  I have watched this for many years in foreign countries.  Asian parents tend to put a great deal of pressure on their kids to perform exceptionally well in school.  They are strictly trained and disciplined to treat education as the most important thing in their young lives.  Young kids are tutored in multiple foreign languages at a very early age.  They don't know how to fly a kite but they can conjugate Russian verbs.

The International Schools are full of these kids.  Large numbers of their graduates go on to Harvard and Yale Universities.  They are so far ahead of American kids that they sail through their undergrad work.  Virtually ALL go on to graduate schools... graduating at the top of their classes.

Even the European kids are far superior to American students.  They also speak multiple languages and are strong in maths and sciences.

Only in America do we dumb down education and shelter our kids from homework and difficult course loads.  95% of American parents do not have a clue how inadequate their schools are compared with other nations.

We are turning our kids into wusses! 

Home School is definitely the way to go.
