Just think! A bureaucrat types one line of code...and you never existed, or your access to your own money. And doesn't EVERYBODY just adore all the similarities between the Nazis and this thing, demanding IDENTITY PAPERS!?!?
So you don'r want a national verifiable ID because it might be subject to tampering but then again you want them to stop illegals and vote fraud, with our a sure way of showing who is legit and who isn't. BTW, how are they supposed to delete you when you have the physical card in your hand.

Here in Washington if they can't win with the dead they take the election to the courts. "Gregoir"

Lemme see, lemme see, I'm down for that subject-to-tampering part, and I'm down with that "withou(t) a sure way of showing who is legit and who isn't." No quarrel in this age of Photoshop, where a card in hand is always beaten by a data-file in the server....

I'm still working on how to handle the illegals AND Congress, for one cannot be solved without the other.

This is a way to win elections, better than pounding the pavement.

Pulaski County, Illinois----while they should get the rolls straightened out, I think the problem there is that the county has lost 60% if its population since 1940 (wikipedia) and they have not checked to see who still lives there. Now if the number of votes cast is higher than the population...hmmm.

When you move between jurisdictions, who is responsible to get you off of voting rolls of the jurisdiction you moved from?  I moved from Tennessee in 1992. Do you think I am still on the rolls there?

Therein lies the problem.  The whole voter registration system is in a shambles.  Different states have different rules.  It needs to be cleaned up and updated.  This is why elections are often rigged.

Instead of a drivers license, voter registration card, Social Security card, etc. etc.; you simply have one national ID card. And you put those bureaucracies out of work. BTW, make the penalty for falsifying one so Draconian, that few would even consider it.
DLs are a state level concern, so thats not going amywhere. Social Security for all intents and purposes is federal level identification, so I suppose we could add photos to them and snap, theres your precious national cattle brand. Hell, lets just follow this to its logical conclusion and laser stamp bar codes on our children as they are born. By the way, every state has available for issue a non-DL photo id.

Funny how a paper ballot and a purple thumb worked out so well in Iraq, yet the Establishment is Hell bent on electronic voting here.
Anyone else see a huge problem with corruption, and no, I purposely left out the word "Potential".?

Yeah, that trend really bothers me. Im lucky to live in a district that adamantly refuses to adopt electronic mechanisms for just that reason. Its funny that if you track the movement you find Republican districts maintaining the more traditional polling means. Im sure some progressive busybody somewhere in DC is trying to come up with a way to national referendum the "upgrades" so that everyones ballot can be made vulnerable.

I am old enough to remember that we went to electronic voting because the paper ballots were not being counted accurately.  It all depended upon who was counting the votes.  The Texas valley was bad about ballot box stuffing.  The electronics were suppose to solve that problem.

Didn't work out so well did it?!

Didn't Stalin say, "It doesn't matter who votes, but who counts them?"

Until maybe a decade ago, I thought this stuff only happened in the Turd World. Sad finding out we're not better than this.

Elections have been rigged everywhere there are elections for as long as there have been elections there.
Barry's tenure, however, is noteable for bringing us as close to a banana republic as weve ever been. Im sure FDR and Wilson are very proud and will welcome him gladly in what passes for Valhalla for Fascists.
