The Model House of Commons, at  is a site devoted to simulating the politics of the UK.

I'm a member of the Conservative Party (which is basically the UK equivalent of the Republican Party). This is a basic outline of our party:

  • Economy – Cut spending, cut regulation, cut taxes, and cut the deficit to a sustainable level. Make the benefits system fair and reward hardworking people.
Foreign Policy – Greater ties with the Commonwealth and US, support Israel, reform the EU, action in the Middle East against ISIS
Home – Smaller government, recriminalize drugs (which were all legalised by the Liberals), an Australian style immigration system, more police on the streets
Education – Support grammar schools, academies, and free schools (all of which are run largely free from government regulation)

Currently, we're the largest party in the House of Commons and Lords, and a part of the largest coalition, however we're in Opposition to a left-wing government made up of the Socialist, Green, Scottish Nationalist, and Labour parties (with heavy support from the Communist Party). Some of the things they've attempted to do include nationalise newspapers & energy, scrap nuclear weapons and ban independent schools, so we're hoping to recruit more members so that next time we're able to form government.

The U.K. might have a two party system. The United States, contrary to the apparent populist belief, does not. Nor has it ever had a two party system.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

pgl-guy-234..... what is your opinion of the British Independent Party?  They did not do well in the last election but they sounded good to my way of thinking..... at least what little bit I knew about them.

They're not going-away...  the UKIP.  Nor should they.

They're a 'cousin' of TEA, but geared more for fighting illegal invaders.

Yeah, I agree with that, kit.  Farage is an interesting character.

But I was really interested in getting the opinion of our newbie from the UK.  Also, is he calling the Tory's his conservative party?  By our definition they are more RINOish.

Hahaha that's why we all vote in a booth eh?
More like a small writing area and side-panels from the waist on up, blocking the view of anyone on either side of you. It is a terrible place for a flasher to expect privacy!

Oh.  I thought it said STIMulation, not SIMulation.

Like the protest sign:

Obama!  Get your hand out of my pocket!  I can stimulate myself!
