The SCOTUS is demonstrating a perplexing level of mental gymnastics.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/06/18/supreme-court-says-discrimination-against-viewpoint-ok-on-license-plates/

On Thursday, the Supreme Court's streak of incoherent decisions remained intact, as the Court ruled that the state of Texas could ban Confederate flag symbols from license plates but that the town of Gilbert, Arizona, could not place time restrictions on billboards based on content. This is, to say the least, nonsensical. But we expect nothing less than nonsense from the Supreme Court these days.

The only explanation that would make sense, is menstruation.
We either become the recipient of it's effects, or you're the victim of this affliction that plagues the mind every few weeks with indecision and emotion, or depending on the day in the cycle, acute mental wizardry.

I do not say this in jest, I've known women throughout my life that made Jekyll and Hyde look like a comedy act, and no, I am not picking on women in the least, I thank God I don't have to suffer what you all go through, but you have to admit, it tends to have a schizophrenic effect on a certain percentage, and that's what this court seems to be exhibiting, either the 28 day cycle, or menopause.

There is no consistency in this court, even children can better grasp the concept of Right and Wrong.

Whatever the excuse may be, I put a lot of blame upon Chief Justice Roberts.  I think he strongly drives this Court.  He is a genius and master of manipulation.  I think his gentle spirit and impeccable mental prowess effectively steers all of the decisions.  The other Justices are out of their league with this man.

So that's what explains Justice Roberts backflips and re-writing of the Federal Constitution to justify Obammydon'tcare as a "tax". When the "bill" clearly is not a tax as it didn't originate, where the Constitution explicitly states all new taxation legislation must begin. The odd thing about that is this. I wasn't aware that men, suffer from PMS. Mwhahahaha
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

I think you have hit on a partial solution, Kroz.  Supreme Court rules on an Arizona billboard.  Hysterical !  But, wait a minute, what if we started flooding the Supreme Court with every trivial dispute under the Sun ?   Then when they came down, we could make like Moses and the Ten Commandments.   I mean, totally hammer the Supreme Court with satirical cases....We have a great start with redefinition of marriage and the Memories Bakery dispute.
Good work, Kroz, your keen sense of justice may well have stumbled upon the answer we've been looking for.

License plates are a function of the state government. As such, each state has the right to decide what can and cannot go on them. Most states don't allow profanity, for example. Billboards are private property, normally sitting on private property, and come under the 1st Amendment.

See, there we go, Mr. Giles. This could be like a branch of stand up. We can think up all kinds of disputes over license tags alone, to keep them busy until they kick off or until America comes to its senses, whichever comes first.
This will be a good retirement job for the community organizer, thinking up bizarre cases for the Supremes.
When you think about it, a case goes to the State Supreme Court. If they have the money, they appeal to the US. The US then over rules. Now what? You have a situation where the high court in a state gets slapped down by Washington. Not good.
Never was intended to be. That's a secessionist's argument.
