Northern New Jersey and about 1/3 of the way through moving back to the motherland...

I grew up in South Jersey. Even though I still miss the place, and despite popular opinion there are in fact some cool things to see/do there if you venture away from the interstates (Pine Barrens, Jersey Shore, Cape May...), I still wouldn't move back; it's too damn expensive and the place seems to be hemorrhaging jobs and residents. I couldn't get over how many homes were up for sale last time I visited this past summer. South Jersey is becoming a veritable economic wasteland.

I've been in SC for almost ten years now.

For sure.  South Jersey has a real bucolic feel to it with a lot of old colonial era homes. My in-laws had no idea NJ has so much farmland when they first visited.

Here's some pics I managed to snap when I wasn't accidentally launching my wife into spider infested bushes on our canoe-camping trip in the pine barrens: http://imgur.com/a/6ChfC . Needless to say next time we won't be canoeing in to the campsite...

My sister went to Rowan College. The first time my dad went down there he fell in love with it and planned to move down there with my mom when he retired. I spent may weekends in Wildwood.

I haven't been in years. The best boardwalk.

It hasn't really changed much in the past 10-15 years. They built a convention center at the south end of the boardwalk, and added a big "Wildwood" statue thing with a bunch of beach ball sculptures which makes the place look slightly more classy, and also now have movies on the beach shown on these giant inflatable movie screens amongst other things. Most importantly, the tram cars are still there to run you over when you're not paying attention: "Wa-wa-wa-watch the tram car please". Same old Wildwood.

That brings back memories. Is it the same voice?

That's gotta be 40 years old if it's a day. We used to go to the Captain's Table for breakfast. Remember that?

I don't recall ever eating there. I usually hit up one of the hundreds of pizza places on the boardwalk every time I go. Something about that boardwalk pizza, man. Must be from sitting out in the salty air all day after some fat hairy Italian guy seasoned it with his blood sweat and tears. Then theres subsequent battle with the hordes of hungry seagulls you have to fend off as you inhale your succulent slice.

Ah the pizza. Awesome later in the evening and the slices were always huge.

I just thought having a water park on a pier jutting into the ocean was the greatest thing ever.

Campobello South Carolina, in the downtown of Little Chicago!!!!

Campobello, S.C.
Rebel, how close are we to "Dark Corners"?  No kidding, despite the
'names", this really is a nice area.  Out in the country, virtually no billboards, a nice golf course called the "links of Tryon", an Equestrian facility, peach country and a fabulous view of the mountains just 7 miles up the road.
