Is it just me or does anyone else feel like this administration and its minions this week have begun to quickly ram through unprecedented policies as quickly as possible?

I am just wondering is there something behind these issues all being piled on at once?

1. Dems cancel out 200 yrs of senate history by implementing the "nuclear option"
2. The recent news this week that Obama has taken it upon himself to again change the healthcare law implementation date without the approval of congress
3. Back door deal in the middle of the night to make a deal with a country who wants nothing more than to see America and Israel burn.

Is this a distraction from botched healthcare rollout or is this becoming a push to get Obama policies through before midterm elections?

Maybe im just having a conspiracy theory moment but the timing seems odd.

Welcome Niccoli.
No, it's not your imagination, the Dims are in panic mode because they know they are about to be out of power for decades, and the RINO are feeling the same panic, and rightly so.

Thanks for the welcome...decided to join because I have gotten to a point where i can no longer sit by and not discuss my concerns for our country.

I also hope 2014 brings the hammer to the Democratic/liberal/secular progressive Party

No, I don't think it's crazy to think that!

My first thought last night when I heard some kind of "deal" had been reached with Iran was that it was a distraction from something!  Now, the LIV crowd isn't going to pay attention to something like this.  It is out of their mental grasp, as they don't see it affecting them.  This will only impact those who pay attention.

This Senate rule change is really awful.  It was put there for a reason.  It's pretty short sighted to think that it won't affect YOUR party someday.  However, there are no long-term thinkers anymore.

They wanted to get universal healthcare and immigration deals.  It's scary to think insurance companies can be ordered to cancel policies, then turn around and re-issue them.

All of this is scary.

Thanks for the responses. It's nice to know that others share my fears of what is actually going on behind the masks and talking heads.

And I used the word fear specifically because it seems that we have crossed the threshold of common political disagreement to the point of this becoming a very scary situation

Welcome to our neighborhood Niccoli. I was hoping Noccoli meant both the dems and repubs.....

You will find we have crossed that threshold sometime back young man.   2014 could be the make or break point for the U.S.

1. That's Dingy Harry, servant of the One, opening the floodgates for judicial nominations. The Kenyan's signature "legacy" accomplishment turned out to be a pile of steaming shit, so this is Option B. (Q: What's the best way to keep Dingy Harry from drowning? A: Shoot him.)

2. This is the quid pro quo for 1. above -- a one month delay next fall in hopes that it will ease the Donks' pain. It won't.

3. Shiny object distraction. With the pussies we now have running the White House and the State Department, this country will do nothing to even slow Iran down. Within a year, maybe less, Iran will detonate a rudimentary atomic device. Sooner or later, they'll flip one into Israel, and the Israelis will respond with enough nukes to turn Iran into a puddle of glass. And that will be the end of that. Yeah, it's kind of a given of truth on this board that the so called "two party" system are both socialist to the core.

The dems are in absolute panic mode. They realize there will be no gains in the House and the Senate is probably lost. They also realize Obama will be of no help, either financially or providing campaign support. Therefore, Dinghy Harry is opting for some short term advantage to pack some courts.

Walkstall,

Sorry my post came off unassuming or oblivious with the way i worded, but I have also noticed long before now that the sheep were being herded by their master. I just believed that while holding the House it would slow down the train, but my concern has increased ten fold since Friday. What the senate actually followed through on is a direct power grab in order to neutralize any opposition in a way that struck me at my core.

Dems claim it was necessary in order to restore functionality to a broken system. But quite the contrary, the system was working the exact way it was designed to in order for the minority party to not get steamrolled.

Don't be so sure.  The Soviets were able to pull it off for seventy years.

Sir as your new, you will find the quote function very helpful.  It helps others also know what is going on, they don't have to go back and see what someone said.
