Piss them all off and rename the team the "BlackHawks", and keep the uniforms and helmet the same. That should do the trick.

Ten members of Congress are urging the Washington Redskins to change their name because it is offensive to many Native Americans.

People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Does the expression TS mean anything.  This PC thing is totally out of control.  My daughter was in high school in Fort Worth  and he team was nicknamed the rebels and the were forced to change the name to the raiders, this was 1984.  Next we will have the illegals we are expecting form the immigration bill to make us change the name of the Houston, Texans to the Houston Wet Backs.  Eat that for lunch.

Leave the damned name along, they did not ask me!   IF some Redskin has a problem with it, tell them to stay on the reservation and turn the TV or the radio off.

Don't you just love it when a bunch of white people want to tell the proud natives that they should have their feelings hurt because some sports team uses a logo representing one of them, or their culture, or courage.

I have yet to meet any native who was outraged by the use of native names by sports teams. They honestly don't care one way or the other. Being in S. Florida there are quite a few Seminole natives here, and I've asked most of the ones I've become acquainted with about this and they are not outraged in the slightest.

Change the name to the Native Stone Age Savages! I believe that would be a correct description of our Native American population.

And change your name to "ignorant man" while you are at it...because if that's your perception of what native Americans were like before 1620, then you ought to really try cracking open a history book once in a while. Preferably one written after 1930...

Why, because the ones written afterward are more likely to be politically correct? Reality check, you're right, the native population weren't complete stone age savages, after all some had discovered agriculture, and the had advanced to megalithic monuments, and with the Inca's, road building. However those are those are the MesoAmerican and South American Native Americans. If we're talking about the Native American's of North America - where the term Redskins originated - and where it's usage was prevalent; we're talking about primitive agriculture and hunter-gathering savages with a stone age technology. But I'm not unreasonable, we'll change the name to the North American Native Stone Age Savages.

LOL the Inca's feel so much better now that they have advanced beyond North American Native Stone Age Savages.  At sometime we were all Native Stone Age Savages in our history.

Since we are way off topic does the expression "sticks and stones" ring a bell.  I happen to think the American Indian was pretty smart and so were several other cultures.  Ever heard of the Inca or Myans.

And the sad thing is, the name Red Skins moniker for a team was a term of respect, it is the lib PC idiots that see it as an insult, go figure.
I have yet to see a team called the wetbacks, or Hicks...

They were barbarians whose time was up because of their crimes against humanity.
