What do you think??? should I visit the police department and say HEY----not gonna be have no intentions of growing anything illegal,

That really sucks, what are you supposed to do, file for a permit and inspection before you plant, and then be open to a final before harvest?
I usually side with the Sheriff, but in this case, someone or some people need to be fired, or in the least, drug into court for civil rights violations.

I know right..... It's pretty scarey to think your house could be raided for veggies.   Just because of a light! Now I am not silly enough to think it isnt going to happen.    But there was no real cause for it to happen to this family.. I mean come on,,,  Which is why I am thinking go to the drug section and invite em on in to see... Lord knows I dont need my house tore up over a fricking tomaote plant

Or do like this couple, sue the shit out of them when they do screw up.
This would seriously piss me off , for making me lose faith in local law enforcement, which I support.
