This is the story that led me to do a search for more info on what type of guns were used at Sandyhook, at to my surprise, the coroner had quietly released that info, and the media with no fanfare quietly released it as well, which is why none of had heard about it till now.
But I digress, here is what drove me to search, a gun show was boycotted to closure under pressure from Gun Rights groups upset over the promoters decision to ban so called assault weapons, over Sandyhook.

A massive boycott sparked by the NRA and other gun-rights groups outraged that the nation's largest outdoors show banned the exhibition of assault weapons has caused the show's organizers to abruptly cancel the week-long event in Harrisburg, Pa.

The NRA is a huge sponsor of the show and pulled out Tuesday after Reed moved to ban assault rifles like Bushmasters and AR-15s at the show. A Bushmaster was used in the Newtown, Conn., shootings, according Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance, and Reed said it was bowing to concerns about the gun in banning it from the show.

Just a guess:

I don't think that Vance made up the story about the Bushmaster. It was probably what he used at home to kill his mother.
In their pant wetting rush to help Obama with his agenda, the media started splashing assault weapons across the screen, without bothering to to find out the context of Vance's comment.

If I'm not mistaken, the very day of the shooting, the coroner on scene in a press conference so to speak, said, "All these people were killed with an Bush Master 223 assault rifle", and from that moment forward, not a word was said resembling the truth, or even questioning how he could accomplish such a task with only one weapon, or why the shells found on the ground weren't 223 or from a long gun, or how an experienced coroner could make such a glaring mistake, a 223 makes a much smaller entry wound than that of the pistols used in the murder.
One can only surmise a gag order placed upon everyone involved, nothing short of a coverup with it roots firmly entrenched in Agenda Politics.

How did Obama use false information in the writing of his EOs?

Does Obama write EOs based on what he sees on MSNBC?

We're really only left with two possible options, or maybe a combination:

I can't believe there isn't massive asskicking on the NY release of gun owner names.  I guess all those people are just doing the typical conservative thing - "oh well, don't want to cause a stir, too much trouble, the papers will say I love to see children killed, maybe I won't be harmed because of this thing.....".

We're celebrating the fact that someone finally got around to it with Obama's recess appointments.

But why is that the only one we know of  ?

I just realized this morning, while listening to my local talk radio guy......yeah, I enjoy listening and getting pissed off, but damn that's all we do.

All these guys do is yak yak yak, and we sit and listen and mumble "yeah yeah yeah"......and the SOB's get away with it all and wax our asses every time.

Can't we start doing something besides just complaining and commiserating about how badly we're getting our asses handed to us, and how unfair/criminal all of the frauds are, being thrown at us ?

I know, the big answer is "get involved, do something yourself".  But we really need something from the big talkers, the big institutes, the big money, and so on.  They're already established and already have the talent / staff.  We can't just wait for every schmoe at our level to figure out how to become something we're not.  It'll be over before we get there.  We need the big names to start fighting already, hard, nasty, ridiculous, just like the left.

You can always count on Soros, Buffet, Turner, Hollywood, MSM, Academia, et al to jump at the beck and call of Obama, Clinton, Carter, Pelosi, etc.

Not so much anything/ anybody conservative.

Dems are already setting the table for their attacks for 2014 and 2016, and for canonizing Hillary.  We'll wait until 4 months before each, and dribble out the same old lukeward crap, and immediately quit and hide as soon as the media starts calling us hateful, divisive, mean spirited, and so on.  Oh, and racist.
