This crap hangs in the air for HOURS until the whole sky is gray. No contrail acts like that.

Seriously, I can't stay outside nearly as much as I used to. I have asthma anyway, but I feel like I'm breathing through a wet sock, after a full day out. After what I've learned about our government the past few years (but especially since the socialists have been at the helm) I wouldn't be surprised if they were systematically poisoning us. Everyone can plainly see that China is in the white house and we've all been shown what the CCP is capable of. :sad:
It can be the most gorgeous day with clear skies in the forecast but by the time they finish, there isn't a scrap of blue anywhere. And it literally lasts for hours, no exaggeration.

I used to see it over the Sacramento valley, but here in the mountains the winds generally blow it into the Nevada desert and into Utah.

I bicycled to work in Philly for many years and it was the cars and trucks, especially those not taken care of that created bad air. Also served in the Air force in Texas / Florida. You know what saved my lungs, quitting smoking when out son was born. Just sayin.... But homes too can be a source of bad air. May want to check there.

I've lived in southeastern South Dakota for almost a year, after living in Western Washington, and I can't believe how little crap I see in the sky here. Not completely gone, but far cleaner and bluer sky than Washington!

Sorry, I'm more in the belief that temperatures are way colder up there in the stratsophere and when you dump hot jet exhaust into that coldness, it almost immediately turns to ice. It takes a long time for that ice to melt on some days.

I don't buy into the "Evil Chem Trails" story, but cloud seeding for rain has been going on for decades.
I do know they create chem trails to watch the weather via radar, but it would appear they've taken it way too far, to the point of blotting out the sun on occasions.
I won't deny the seeding for rain, nor will I deny the possibility of trailing for weather observation, but I can't get into the "evil chem trails" theory. I mean that sounds like something straight out of CCP method of operations. Not saying it isn't possible to be done by "our government". They've hidden things from us before.

I can't completely discount it, but I'm not concerned at the moment either.
