Title: Favorite Thanksgiving Recipe..
Post by: Solars Toy on November 23, 2010, 12:41:07 PM
Thought people might want to share their favorite Thanksgiving Holiday recipes.....

Cranberry Waldorf  Salad (AKA Barbie Salad)

2 cups fresh cranberries ground in food processor or mini chopper
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups mini marshmallows

Stir together and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning add...
2 cups diced apples
1/2 to 1 cup seedless grapes cut in half
1/2 cup pecans - optional
dash salt

Mix well and then add 1/2 to 1 tub of Cool Whip (you know how much you like)

Mix well, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

This is made at every Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday my family has/had.  Both of my daughters love this and request it.

Hope to see some other family recipes here.. :) :)

Grape Salad

Ingredients
8 oz. light cream cheese, softened
1 cup light sour cream
1 cup Sugar
3-4 pounds grapes (I use puple seedless)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions
Blend the cream cheese, sour cream, Sugar and vanilla. Add the grapes - put in a big bowl. I ususally put this in a 9X13 glass dish. Mix the brown sugar and pecans - chill at least 1 hour before serving.
