They're just feeding at the same trough.
I've always said a Pub is just a Dim in a different coat, and when it comes down to budget, neither cares.
This short video exposes it all, and the upside is, the Federal Reserve is on its last leg.
Forbes makes a great statement in the end, so watch to the closing credits then skip to the end.
For many years I had not favored a "balanced budget" amendment because I felt our government needed flexibility in times of need. For many years Washington was responsible, but no more. I agree with you it is both parties as the GOP has morphed into spend crazy democrats. With all the revenue the government takes in it would only take discipline to reverse the trend.
Wow - Talk about "whose on first"
And who owns the Federal Reserve? Not the Government as the name implies. Toy

You raise a very old memory. Being just 12, I had a paper route; Mom taught me finance because every house was a contractual agreement with the customer and I needed to conduct in a fair and honest manner.
I loved it, even got a carrier of the year award. That's back when you got awards for actually doing something.
Anyway, my point is I was anal when it came to budget, I remember watching as the house argued over increases, how they always compromised.
This made me irate as a business owner because if the customer and I could agree on price, that would mean I was either stealing from the paper or getting less. Congress was stealing from us and I was Pissed!
Yet here they were arguing over who got to spend more than the other. That was my money, I worked for it and when I saw them spending on welfare, NPR/PBS, or here at home in Calif. where the South decides what happens in the North as far as my money went.
I've always said it has to collapse for us to fix it, The left may force us into collapsing it on them first.
Forgive me, just rambling,, can't sleep.

It's real easy to spend other people's money. I would like to see this happen. If congress can not do it's job and write/pass a yearly budget, the government needs to shut down until one is passed. No more three months spending. If it ain't in the budget, it don't get spent. I would also like to see in the budget, where the money is going to come from, no more spending what you don't have. If they can not prioritize spending, we need a new congress.

BINGO!!!!
And those refusing to agree, need censuring and a loss of power till they comply!
We no longer have a Representative Congress, just a Marxist complying tool for Leftist NGO monetary influence.
If they succeed in stealing this election, there will be no govt to stop the people.
I've been reading some very serious rightwing think tanks dealing with this very event, and suffice it to say, the leftist media will be the first to lose its voice.
When I read the details, it truly lifted my heart. We have a lot of White hat hackers who will take over their entire global satellite network, and that's just the beginning.
