Post by: kit saginaw on January 07, 2016, 04:38:52 AM
The opening-bell should sound like a ceremonial garbagecan-lid gong ...

I'm afraid to look at my stuff.  Thanks, China.

We are headed for a bear market, folks.  It has been a long time coming!  We are long overdue a correction in the markets.  Surely you all saw this coming.

My broker and I have been talking about this for several years. He has been totally surprised, but understands free money does strange things.

Yep...
In spite of Qe Infinity.
That doesn't leave any room for correction by the Fed, the free mkt is the only way to fix this mess, but they'll never let that happen.
At least not while the Marxist is in charge.

Well, all you can say is that at least you don't see the money physically vacating your wallet.  Some of it just isn't there anymore.   Then again....

I sold out monday last week with 27% profit, if I had waited until today I would have lost over 65%  Though I did start investing again yesterday, but only because I get bonus share, but Im certain I will lose money on that company at least until 2017. 2016 is gonna be a shit year, wish I knew more about stocks, short sell or whats it called when you buy predicting companies will do bad. I aint got the patience or intelligence for stocks so I only buy if I got inside information.

I hate to say this but it really needs to drop a lot more for it to be a true correction.

I was expecting this but not for it to drop so quickly and consistently day after day.  But sometimes it is best to take your medicine quickly and get it over with.

This is to be expected and, in my view, happening with interest rates so low. Interest rates will eventually have to be raised and it would be helpful to have a little room for an increase in the market when that occurs.

Back down close to there again today, to start.  The Hang Seng's already off

I'm sitting on what gold I have.  The long-lines are surreal.  Gold is more of a family investment, like precious stones.  Buy, then put it away for future family-members.

In a survivalist world, gold is only as valuable as the-merchant-you're-dealing-with says it is.

That's the problem with gold. it's not edible. In a true financial crisis gold is virtually worthless because there is no demand for it.
These so called "crises" are merely adjustments in the world mkt, a mkt that is no longer free of manipulation, one lacking the ability of self correction, so if govt fails to prop up a false mkt, owning gold should be ones last concern.
